Bleep mask whistling

Post by mets123 » Tue Feb 09, 2021 7:02 am

I have been using the bleep mask for about three months now and love it. Recently I hear the mask whistling during the night. I don’t get rainout but there is a little moisture in the mask. I have a humidifier in my room and it does keep the room warm. I have my humidity at 4 and tube temperature at maximum at 86. I still wake up a little dry even with mouth taping and I get zero leaks each night.
Anyone have an answer to stop the whistling?
Thanks

You sure it’s put together right and being snapped on right? Buckle the Velcro strap tight as well. Sometimes that thing gets loose after washing.

Thanks for your response Dreaming 1, but I believe it is put together as I have absolutely no sound when I put everything together and go to sleep. I will check the diffuser like you suggested.

Whistle on inhale? Whistle on exhale? What about when you hold your breath?

Hey loggerhead 12, I will have to listen but I think it’s when I exhale.

Just wondering do you guys think it makes sense to set humidity to auto? Or is better to lower tube temperature?

Both humidity and tube temp. set on auto works fine in most situations. As for the mask whistling, try a different mask and see if it still whistles on exhale. If it does, it's the machine, not the mask.
