How to lower AHI I’ve got a friends machine set at 8-17 on APAP

I’ve got a friend set at 8-17 APAP He was at 6-17 and over 15 per hr now at 8-17 and just around 5 per hr do I bump him up to 8.6
Full face no leaks
7 hrs
4.7 AHI
Two masks off he got a 100 last night
Maybe I Should be happy

Depends on the breakdown of that AHI into the 3 category of apnea events whether more pressure is needed or not.
If it's primarily clear airway apnea events...no. More pressure won't help.
If it's primarily obstructive events (OAs and hyponeas) then more pressure will help reduce the number.

Don't forget...how he is sleeping and feeling is also important.
