Favorite hose cover?

Post by Country4ever » Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:36 pm

I see they are made of different kinds of material. Is fleece the best? Also, some are 6' long and some are 6'6". Sounds like the 6' ones are several inches short. Would leaving some of the tube uncovered, if your humidifier is heated and your room is cold, cause more of a likelihood of water in the tubing, or is that not an issue.

Would one of these be easy to make myself without a zipper?

Any certain brand that seems to work out better than others?

Thanks!

Standard hose is 6'; climateline is 6'6".
Anything beats the overpriced Resmed hose cover.
Pad a Cheek has the nicest fleece cover--easy to use, too.
DIY: thread toeless socks on the hose ;scrunchies where needed.
Girls' $ store knee socks are great.

My wife and I both use fleece hose covers from padacheek. They are very soft and easy to put on. I really recommend them. Everything Karen sells is very well made and high quality.

www.snugglehose.com. I like the one with the zipper, it is much easier to get on.

I'm thinking about getting a hose cover as well. Are you using the 6ft Snuggle Hose on a Climate Line hose?

I'm a "thrifty" old lady, just went out and bought some fleece, cut a long piece, sewed it together and voila.. a great hose cover.
If you do like I do, no zipper, and have trouble putting the cover on your hose... just put a baggie over the end of the hose and slide the cover over.... easy and cheap!!

Cheers
Nan

Another quick thrifty idea. Get a ball of yarn and crochet one. :)

I bought a soft snuggly plush throw rug and mum made a hose cover out of it for me. The hose cover is loose-fitting to make it easy to take on and off. I use elastic bands at each end to hold the hose cover in place. You can't see the elastic bands because the throw rug material is so fluffy. So much better than sleeping with a "vacuum cleaner" hose lol.

Love all these creative ideas! I wish I could make my own but I broke down and ordered one from Padacheek. I'm looking forward to trying it with this cold weather!

A long scarf wrapped around the hose a couple of times secured at each end with an elastic. Being Canadian. I always have a few surplus scarves around.

I am a remnant junkie.
Long, skinny pieces of soft fuzziness are my weakness.
Especially when they are a pretty color.
