Time for a new one ???

Post by adin67 » Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:37 am

My 5 yrs old S9 auto-cpap already has a considerable number of hours -16.500hrs. It works well, I do not complain but I'm thinking of a new one :D .
What do you think, should I prepare for a new airsense10 (or second gently used) or I can postpone? I noticed that prices have dropped slightly on secondwind.

Do you have insurance? If you do... yes. It's always a good idea to have a backup machine. Especially when the one you are using now is getting old. I gave my backup to my son..... I need to get me a backup.....

Hello and thank you for the reply. I have no insurance for this, I'm from Europe. It's a good idea to have one from backup. I wonder how long a S9 cpap can be running, how is the maximum run hours, approximate.

15,000 hours is considered exceptionally good.
And I have heard of machines going 25,000 hours. Rare but not impossible.

But I would be planning on having a back up available at this stage. There's no way to know when it will want to quit. It may give you a warning and it may not.
