ADVICE PLEASE from Dreamware FFM USERS…

I have been using the Dreamwear Full Face Mask since I started. I love it and could not wear one that covered my nose so I was glad when my sleep specialist let me try one. I have struggled with many leaks and a lot of large leaks. I did not give up because I knew that if I could not make this mask work then I would not be able to continue with therapy. On ApneaBoard there is a poster named BonJour who wrote an instructional article called Mask Primer. He goes step by step in fitting your mask to be leak free. If you find a post from him it will be under his signature or I am sure you can use the search tool to find it. My boyfriend and I used the article and went step by step in fitting my mask correctly. We had the straps too tight and thought we were stopping leaks from the bottom by tightening the bottom straps when the opposite was true. My leak rate decreased dramatically and I have only had a few short timed large leaks. I hope this helps.

Haley, I would like to thank you one more time, this time literally from the bottom of my heart!
I read the articles to which you referred me and for the first time discovered that, buried in the fine print of the instruction manual for this mask is a warning not to use this mask if you have a pacemaker implant and if the magnet on the bottom straps could come within 2 inches of a pacemaker! I have a pacemaker, and when the left bottom strap swings loose during putting the Dreamwear FFM on or taking it off, that magnet does indeed come within two inches of my pacemaker!
So that's the end of my explorations with the Dreamwear FFM! I am going back to my original nasal cushion Dreamwear, and adding taping my mouth!

I haven't posted as I do not use the Dreamware mask. If you are looking to switch FFMs, you might investigate my mask (click on it in my signature). It has pillows and covers the mouth, comes with 3 sizes of each.

It is very kind of you to make that suggestion, Muse and I thank you!
Unfortunately, I did try that very Hybrid mask (in fact 3 of them as explained below) in 2015 but unfortunately they would not stop leaking very loudly and noisily and upon ultimately consulting an Innnomed representative for advice who spoke with me by phone, it was suggested by them that their mask was not designed to work with an ASV machine, like mine.
