Saw the Sleep Dr. Yesterday.....

Had a good appointment with my new sleep doc yesterday. He did a check over of me and determined that I have a small airway and based on my Epworth sleepiness scale set me up for a sleep study. (I'm not surprised and I had hoped he would.) For a little added background My primary care doc sent me for a sleep study a few weeks ago and told me the results were "Normal" I'm not sure how you get normal test results from an abnormal night of sleep but anyway. I requested my study report and it came in the mail yesterday. I don't agree with some of the data. for example. the test started at 10:00. it has my sleep latency at 35.5 min. I know that I watched the clock go from 10:00 to 11:45. My sleep efficiency was at 62.6%. After reading the whole report he suggested I have insomnia. (A normal sleep night is I fall asleep 2-3 min after my head hitting the pillow) Just glad to "Get another shot" I have been using my wifes spare machine for a couple of weeks and haven't slept better but I'm going to stop using it till after my next study witch is Tuesday evening.

I don't want to sound like a weirdo but I do hope they find something this time as I would like to get my own machine set up for me so I can sleep!!! More importantly.... Get some REST!!!

The good thing is that the Dr. and DME rep will both be there Wed AM. so when they discover I need a machine I'll go home with one.
