S9 AutoSet CPAP Machine for sale (with original box)

Post by aingua » Fri Jul 01, 2011 1:52 pm

SORRY FORGOT TO LOG IN WHEN I POSTED MY ORIGINAL MESSAGE. LOGGED IN NOW...SO I WILL HAVE 2 POSTS...SAME PERSON (AI81=aingua)

I have an "S9 AutoSet CPAP Machine" for sale with exactly 331.6 hours of run time. The machine includes all the original components

This Product Includes...

S9 AutoSet CPAP Machine
SlimLine Tubing
Carrying Case
Disposable Filter
Patient Manual
SD Memory Card
Power Supply and Cord

I will also include 2 CPAP Masks which are slightly used:
- ComfortGel Original Nasal CPAP Mask with Headgear
- Swift LT Nasal Pillow CPAP Mask with Headgear

I purchased this machine a little over six months ago with the hopes of resolving my long unattended sleep apnea issue. The machine itself works great, but for the first couple months I tried putting it to use, I would always take the mask off (unconsciously), leaving it to breathe on its own. For the first 30 days, the actual readings would indicate I've only had the mask on for "0.5-1.0 hours," which is ineffective. The machine is not for me and I think surgery might be my only solution.

The machine and masks are in great condition. I would be more than happy to provide you with pictures. Please email me at inguawood@yahoo.com if interested.
Serious buyers only!

The surgery does not work, I had it years ago and still have severe OSA. Please try another mask and try again to get your CPAP therapy. CPAP will lengthen your life and make you more healthy. The Swift Fx nasal pillows are pretty comfortable for many of us, and you can tape the mask to your face to prevent you from ripping it off while asleep until you train yourself to leave it alone, many of us did that.

I agree that you did not give this enough time to work, nor have you attempted to figure out problems and fix them. Secondly, if insurance provided the machine, you may be still within a rental period and remain responsible for the cost of the premiums, and without compliance, they may look to retrieve the machine. If you bought it outright, you own it and are free to do with it what you want.

OSA has many deleterious effects on various body systems. You are unaware of the damage being done to yourself, and the prognosis is NOT GOOD if you fail to take care of this. High blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, heart attack, etc. are all possible scenarios. Surgery should be the absolute last option for anyone, and the stats are not encouraging for success. Among those who do receive relief, many find that with time they are right back to needing a cpap down the road. And the pain that accompanies the surgery, from what I've read, is horrendous.

Use this forum to learn by reading everything you can. Educate yourself, ask questions, try all the fixes and advice you get from the many veteran experts on this forum who use your machine and mask(s).

Time to give it another try. You have a fantastic machine that you can use to get healthy with..... free software that you can utilize to monitor your therapy, and tons of support here to help you figure out how to make it work.

bump

I see the OP, in the other post with the same title, seems to be hell bent on selling the machine instead of trying to get it to work.....

As you paddle down the river DeNial..... PLEASE reconsider what you are doing!!

antigua, you sent me a PM but did not include a question.

You sent only this which I posted in your previous thread:

This Product Includes...

S9 AutoSet CPAP Machine
SlimLine Tubing
Carrying Case
Disposable Filter
Patient Manual
SD Memory Card
Power Supply and Cord

I paid $850 for the above as a new machine, a month ago, from my DME, and paying no tax b/c I had an Rx.

*******************************************************

As matter of fact, I don't like this S9 Autoset b/c it does not change the pressure fast enough and thus causes new central apneas to emerge.
So I'll be looking to sell my too and look for a BiPAP. For plain CPAP I use my S9 Elite which has the same data features as the S9 Autoset.

In my opnion you'll need to lower your price to match that of a used S9 Elite.

See this:

What about service and spare parts? Would the buyer not need to show a prescription?
