Should I wait for man to melt it? Where is that man made anyway?

I'm glad other people are dumb enough to live where you have to shovel snow in winter so those of us who are smart enough to live in California aren't too crowded

We got 8 inches Sunday night and I live in a place where we never get it. It's still all over everything and will be getting down to 12 degrees tonight. This never happens around here.

Sure hope so the snowplow boy didn't

Is it discrimination if they don't help those who live 765ft above sea level?

GumbyCT, I just sent an email to former President Bush. I am sure he will pull some strings and have FEMA out to you by 2020... Hang in there just a "little longer."

No sorry, not that I know anyway. I heard it on the scanner so I knew where the sirens were going. I know it didn't sound good tho.

I used to listen to the scanner (emergency services units, aviation, harbor, and local precinct 84), but it wasn't good for my blood pressure. Now I only turn it on when something odd is going on with the Brooklyn Bridge or the Manhattan Bridge, so I can know whether or not I need to move away from the windows.

Uncle Bloomberg dug us out pretty well this time.

I saw that on the news. Bet he could get re-elected eh.

Now they're saying another next week? Better stay away from the windows.

So glad we're getting a break from that stuff. But will probably get us in the Spring.

Gee! Wish I was there. I grew up in a "snow belt" region. Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh Boy I'd drag the ol' toboggan to the nearest hill and take a ride!!
We live in Iowa about an hour drive from the Iowa/Missouri state line. Tornadoes...got 'em. Ice storms... got 'em, wind chill down to -50 F. (-45.5 C.) yep, got them too. But snow? Anything over 30 inches for the season is a bad year. Wanna trade?
If you see a large shaggy dog wander by with a keg under its jaws you've been hit by a time warp. Good luck digging out!
Cindy

So did I...I was a bit younger then and had no choice
Even lived in Denver for a year, where you'd see storms like this on the news and be running around with your T-shirt on.

Not on your life. btw - we had 24 in. in less than 12 hrs.

I think I've seen enuff snow to last me a lifetime
