I have noticed I am getting facial impression marks from my mask and the straps. It takes up to 5-6 hours for these to go away in the morning. At first I thought the mask was too tight and have loosened it to the point of leakage then tightened it just a wee bit to stop leaks. Still getting the marks. It's getting to the point that if I have to go somewhere in the morning besides work, I am not using the mask to avoid these morning marks. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution? Am I eventually going to have permanent marks on my face all the time?
I am a side sleeper at night and thought that may be part of the problem. Just can't sleep on my back. I use the Resperonics Full Life mask.

Re: Mask facial marks
Try a hot shower in the morning. May not get rid of them all, but gets rid of a good share of them for me.

Re: Mask facial marks
I tried taking a morning shower and/or hot wash cloth to no avail. Am wondering if sleeping on my side is causing the indentations on the side of my face. Sleeping on my back is out of the question. Can't sleep that way.

Have you tried checking out http://www.padacheek.com
She's got a lot of pads for different masks... if she doesn't have it she's usually good at coming up with something that will work. Plus she posts here.

I use the padacheek products, too, and have all but eliminated mask marks. I still have marks from the chinstrap, but by the time I get to work they are no longer noticeable. Nobody has ever asked me about them and if they did, I would look forward to the opportunity to tell them about CPAP. You never know when you might be saving a life.

Re: Mask facial marks
What kind of bed pillow are you using? It could be the mask is pressing into it and causing pressure marks. There are special cpap pillows that might help, do a Search for "bed pillows" and you'll get lots of help with that.
