Should i upgrade?

Post by bbong73 » Fri Oct 24, 2008 12:51 pm

Very recently, just this week I got my first cpap machine. I got the goodnight 420g. I like it a lot. It's quiet and very portable for me since I travel a lot. Now after reading a couple post and being a geek I want to know more info on how I'm sleeping, leaks, etc. Since I bought the humidifier to go with it. Should I just upgrade to the 420sp or any other ideas? Is the software enough for what I want?

I feel having a XPAP that collects full data and the software to read your progress is a very important part of our treatment. I wouldn't do without it, even if I had to pay for it. (And I did for my APAP) It also pays to have spares of everything, nothing worse than a failure, you aren't prepared to handle. We are each limited by what we can provide for. Jim

Does the 420SP collect full data? or am I just wanting my money by getting it? Should I then get another brand and/or model machine? What is full data?

Upgrade. Absolutely.
Get the software and take control of your therapy.
The more you know the better you'll feel.

See rested gal's information on full data machines.

I'd want the 320E APAP in that brand, with the software ECT. It's about having options, the more options the better you can make your treatment. Jim

I know what you mean Goofproof. I was also looking at the 420E but don't understand much about the automatic cpap machines yet.

I have the E and silver software --- It's as good as any -- as long as you track and get involved in your care/life == I just us it as a backup but its easy to read and should set onto of the humidifier you already have saving a few $$$.

Well I decided and ordered the 420E with the software today. I'll keep the 420G as backup like suggested. Thanks for all suggestion and comments. Hope to be back here soon for help or opinions on my data. Thanks
