Flexi fit nasal pillows leaking.

Post by HookEarMatt » Mon Jun 23, 2008 6:07 am

Hey All,

So for the last few nights I seem to be having a problem with my Flexi fit leaking air all over the place. I spend a good 15-20 min prior to going to be futzing with it to get it to stop leaking, but all that ends up happening is I make the mask to tight. I've only been on cpap for a week an half and this started up a few days ago. Apparently last night it was so bad with the leaking that the noise from the leaking and my subsequent snoring chased my fiance and dog right out of the bed. How can I improve the seal? The silcon doesn't seem to be staying on right, I cleaned it last week with a baby shampoo warm water bath. I'm still under my trail period so I can get a new mask if need be..but i'd prefer not to.

For backround reference I use the ramping feature on my respronics m, I sleep on my back or side, I am not sure how much I'm shifting around in my sleep and I ususally take a tylonal PM to help me get to sleep right now.

Any advice?

Hook Ear

The mask should be cleaned daily. I find that a weekly vinegar and water soak helps keep a good seal.

So you'd rather just wrestle with it? Be better if you tried another before the time was up.
