Actual CAs emerge out of the blue. Your brain stops telling you to take a breath.

The CAs in the AutoSet night had irregular breathing or OAs (and the resulting irregular breathing when you woke) right before them.

So they’re false positives.

How do you spot a false positive? The are OAs but most of the score was made by CA's. What are the signs to look for to identify a false positive CA?

But anyway, during those moments on Autosense, whether those were true CA's or OA's in disguise, I wasn't breathing, my oxygen dropped, and I woke up feeling like crap.
Now, the ASV machine eliminated them all, CA or OA. Poof! They're gone. AHI is lowest I've seen in years, oxygen is great. Why do I still wake up tired like today? (last night's sleepHQ)
What else could be at play here?

Taking any meds? Have you had regular lab work done recently to look for other issues?

Do you have Autosense SleepHQ data with the O2 sat included?

If I don't feel sleepy by 10pm, I sometimes take melatonin (3-5mg). Nothing heavy.

I did the annual physical a few months ago. Nothing to write home about. OK, cholesterol could be lower. Other than that - everything seems within the range. What should I be looking for?

Yes, by May I figured out which O2 sensor I needed in order to sync with SleepHQ. E.g: May 4, May 8, May 9

IMO that can be your problem. When I've taken melatonin I always make sure its <1mg or cut a 1mg tab in half or 1/4.
Melatonin has been used safely for up to 2 years in some people. However, it can cause some side effects including headache, short-term feelings of depression, daytime sleepiness, dizziness, stomach cramps, and irritability. Do not drive or use machinery for four to five hours after taking melatonin.

Because Resmed disconnected my machine from the cloud (I heard, Resmed dropped all older CPAPs when mobile networks migrated to 4G),
Don't blame Resmed because cell service providers shut down 3g.

So, I reduced PS it to the minimum.
Was that a bad idea?
Well, it completely defeats the whole purpose of the ASV, so... yeah.

At least I don't have these CA's
Because the ASV *NEVER* flags CAs, if it's working properly, you can't have a CA, that's it's whole job, to breathe for you (through high PS) when you don't.

It ain't, but the only way you're gonna learn is if you figure it out yourself.
I'd appreciate a bit more information please. What is it then?
Crap sleep and transition apneas.

It's really easy to 'eliminate' something that is never counted.

Not worth worrying about. Couple FLs in the first, sleep-onset crap and artifact in others, most drops aren't even desats, the ODI is negligible, WalMart oximeters aren't accurate.

It doesn't matter if it flags them or not. What matters is the ASV eliminated those pauses in the breathing waveform that were definitely present with AirSence 10 Autoset and are definitely absent with AutoCurve ASV. Except during ramps, when ASV function isn't active, which further proves the point that ASV is effective at eliminating the breathing pauses, whether they're CA, OA, or anything in between. The question remains: why do I still feel tired in the morning?
