I tried to replicate this set-up but can’t figure out what the small piece is that connects directly to the Airmini? This is an old thread. If you want to use an AirMini with any mask, you can now purchase an inexpensive adapter that attaches to the AirMini and lets you use any standard hose. Google Amazon for "airmini hose connector".
I use my AirMini often ( with the AirMini tubing ) and love it. Since switching to a P10 from a FFM, I'm not bothered by any significant noise, and this is often in a tent where the machine is next to my head. Or maybe I'm going deaf, or just got used to it, but works for me

The ZephAir universal hose adapter allows any mask to be worn with the AirMini.
I sleep with a HEPA air purifier running across the room, I don't hear a sound from the CPAP.
