Re: new to Medicare
My husband went on Medicare in March. He saw his PCP, not a sleep doc, who sent visit notes and an Rx to our local DME (who participates in Medicare) and hubby got his new CPAP. He did not need a new sleep study, just notes confirming that he had been using his machine nightly and benefiting from it...

Re: skin care
I use the Bleep Eclipse. Once I have attached the Halos, I apply my moisturizer. (I have dry skin.) No issues.

Re: Sleep Doc - Medicare/Insurance Question
My husband just got a replacement machine (AirSense 11 AutoSet) on his Medicare. His PCP wrote the Rx. He went on Medicare 3/1, had to have a new appt with the doctor after 3/1 (he'd had one in Oct and dr wrote Rx), who sent visit notes, Rx, and compliance info (that hubby was a CPAP user who used ...

Re: Eclipse fix
I finished the Eclipse test. The new halos are really good. I prefer the original Bleep but now the Eclipse is an option. Kudos to Stewart! I just finished the latest version test myself. Zero metal ring failures. Stuart says it will take probably 2 months before the newest version will be ready fo...

Re: Is it worth moving from Resmed Autoset 10 to 11?
Read that the reservoir might be on the small side? Thx! I got a AirSense 11 December 29. I was concerned because I had read that the reservoir would run dry and that it was difficult to take in/out (I have arthritis in my hands). I have found neither to be the case. I occasionally forget to wash/r...

Re: One week update. Not great. :(
Anywho...someone tell me this will work out because I was so hopeful! Even if my device and MyAir app say I'm doing "great!" I know I'm waking up all the time to adjust and definitely not feeling the fabled ultimate rest I keep hoping for! Yes, it will work! As CG said, finding the right mask can b...

Re: Travel adapter or converter?
I have traveled to Europe multiple times with my AirMini, most recently in Jan to Rome and Feb to Athens. I just use a travel adapter, from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GV9Y71T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This particular one is 4 years old and no longer available ...

Re: Traveling
I take my regular machine with me -- always as carry-on luggage. It doesn't count against your carry-on limit because it's a medical device. True in the US, not always so internationally. I found out the hard way when I was told I had to check or consolidate my CPAP in Copenhagen. "Yes, madam, I se...

Re: Help picking a DME
I "third" the local suggestion. I will say that for me, AeroFlow is local-ISH...they are also in NC and have been helpful and responsive. So maybe an option if you can't find someone local to you?
Good luck!
Good luck!

Bleep in the News
https://wtov9.com/news/local/news9-special-assignment-new-sleep-apnea-options I find shocking, actually, that there 30 million sleep apnea patients in the US, 1 billion worldwide! 😳 Why is there not more innovation (like the Bleep) in that case? Seems like a large market, and an ongoing one, to boot...

Re: Going to the Potty at Nighttime
Like Pugsy, I now use the Eclipse and just slide the magnets off the metal rings on the rare occasions I need to get up (so different from pre-CPAP days, thank goodness!). When I used the DreamPorts, I disconnected the short hose from the long hose.

Re: Hose swivel, face wrinkles (expanded newbie post)
As others have said, finding a mask is a journey, the length of which varies from person to person. Hopefully yours will be short and you will find your mask quickly. It took me quite a while but I am very happy now. Good luck with your search! Oh, also I really think that a positive attitude helps ...

Re: More Eclipse Questions
Just a heads-up, I have been using the p10/eclipse hack and have been getting AHI of .1,.1 and zero past three days with no leaks. Anyone else try it? I also feel it’s dead silent compared to eclipse mask and much more comfortable on the nose. I've started using it with my AirMini when I travel. I ...

Re: Does modem on Resmed AirSense 11 work internationally?
Finally getting my Resmed AirSense 11 after 6 month wait but now there's the question about compliance and travel. I do travel quite a bit, often with 4+ weeks outside the USA at a time which makes me question how compliance is going to work here. If Resmed AS 11 using an IOT modem that works mostl...
