Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots

I just checked the S9 Clinical Guide, and the only thing in mentioned in regards to the Sleep Quality setting is that it controls whether or not the on-screen Sleep Quality Report is displayed. Does anyone have a S9 AutoSet or Elite be willing to do a quick test of this? Just set Sleep Quality to Us...

Re: I lifted CPAP & forgot to remove water tank.

Come to think of it, I suspect that all of these bizarre English units were created
by Math teachers for the express purpose of incorporating them into "word" problems.

Re: Why is it necessary to have prescription to buy cpap?

Some reasons to require a prescription: 1) The MAIN reason is to protect the profit margin for doctors and the rest of the medical mafia. 2) There are some fairly rare medical conditions CPAP can make worse. 3) Even an auto CPAP machine doesn't always figure out the right pressure. For many people,...

What about links and chains?
Wikipedia wrote:It [a chain] measures 66 feet, or 22 yards, or 100 links, or 4 rods (20.1168 m).
There are 10 chains in a furlong, and 80 chains in one statute mile. An acre is the area of 10 square chains
(that is, an area of one chain by one furlong).

Re: Guess DME's think were all complete idiots

Sleep Quality set to Usage limits the data displayed on the machine's screen. But
I don't think that it affects the data that is written to the SD card.

Am I wrong?

Re: Traveling to Europe

Almost all machines will work on 110 or 220 V, 50 or 60 Hz which covers almost everywhere.
The machine adjusts automatically, there are no switches or settings to change.

What you will need is a plug adapter (no electronics) to make the US plug fit into the
outlet used wherever you may be.

Re: Resmed s9 power supply gets extremely hot?

Does it cool off when the machine is not running?

How about if it is plugged in but not connected to the machine?

Try it with the humidifier turned off or disconnected altogether.

Re: Public health care insurance for xPAP alone.

IMHO, it is only a matter of time until the truth that we already know, is revealed, that the true costs of treatment never begun or not continued, far exceeds the expense of affordable, effective treatment for those who need it. When that happens, it will be interesting to see what happens next. I...

Re: I lifted CPAP & forgot to remove water tank.

There are occasional offers here from trusted members with new or nearly new machines at very good prices. STLMark and papman857 are two of them. You could also try secondwindcpap.com. They sell open-box and gently used machines. All are tested and come with a warranty. The machine you indicated (Th...

Re: I lifted CPAP & forgot to remove water tank.

Since your machine is older, it does not have the dry box design I mentioned. Do your best to dry it out and see what happens. Some machines come back to life and others don't. Either way you might consider getting a new machine if you can. The new machines have some nice features and show much more...

Gee, Mark's fast.

I just took a look at the HTML of the SourceForge page to see what the
change would take (it's a one-character change in two places) and by the time I
finished looking, Mark had already made the change.

Re: I lifted CPAP & forgot to remove water tank.

If it's a PR System One machine, it's darned near impossible to spill water out of the humidifier chamber with the lid closed, as long as the chamber is not overfilled. PR claims their dry box design will not leak water into the machine even when turned upside-down, but I'm not about to test that. D...

Re: Has Anybody Used the SoClean Device?

I don't own a SoClean and have never used Control III. I wash my cushion or pillows with unscented
dishwashing liquid once a month or so. I use tap water in the humidifier and clean it with vinegar
only if I run it dry.

And I'm happy too.
