Re: It broke!

I've been summoned, it seems. Thanks for the ping, your zonkerness. I'm around, I just haven't been following every thread as much lately. :) 1. Can i fix this myself (yes i am technically savy, i was an electronic tech in the US Navy and can solder, troubleshoot, etc). No i would rather not pay alm...

Re: Choppy waveforms

I swear, if I ever get those images resized, I’ll post them right on here, pronto. Don’t even dare me. only an ignorant fool resizes images before posting. Oh, right, checks, idiot too. Best you just go away, troll. "oh, I'm so tired, I can't follow simple step by step instructions, but I can whine...

Re: For those running APAP with a narrow range.....

That is not always true per the reasons noted by others above. In my case the Dreamstation APAP algorithms chase what appears to be percentage AHI improvements that result in unnecessarily high pressures. You don't understand how the machines work. they don't "care" about AHI, the AHI is just what ...

Does going dry shorten the lifespan of a CPAP machine? I’ve only occasionally used water.
How could it?

Re: Choppy waveforms

How about we do a fundraiser and get a tech guy in here to fix this site so people can post attachments and not lose their mind trying to do so when they’re already tired AF? Just a thought. How about you put in a tiny bit of effort to make it so others can help you? Just a thought. https://www.cpa...

Re: Events per hour

I get a < than 1 event per hour once in a very blue moon. I can't feel the difference from that other low scores. I was trying to correlate my Lookee Oximeter Ring reports to AHI scores but failed since the oxygen levels seem the same no matter what the AHI score is, but I may have given up on that...

1st under View select "Right Sidebar" *F10*
Then follow the directions above. The very bottom of the Right Sidebar.
Thanks. Now I see it.
It's basically a waste of screen space :)

Re: Mask Pressure

I'm so interested to know more about your thoughts here. If the regular breaths on the left of the screenshot are waking breaths, what is the give-away? The lack of pauses between breaths? The curviness of the exhalation trace? Or something else? Yes, the pauses before inhalation is one of the char...

Re: Oscar's 'Best Device Setting'

Oscar's 'Best Device Setting' Huh? I think this is only available on the updated version from September 2023 ? When you open Oscar on the right side under 'Records' tab it marks your 'best device settings' from all the data imported from your SD card. My 'best device setting' is not one of my best ...

Re: Mask Pressure

Your focus remains on your mask pressure, but I'd recommend that you pay more attention to your flow rate, where you'll see that again you were holding your breath. Starting at around 3:05, your breathing looks as though you might be partly awake. (It's not nice and regular, like the breathing befo...

Re: For those running APAP with a narrow range.....

Curious: how did you figure out where to set your max pressure? Also, while I'm thinking about it: do you check for leaks at that max pressure? I guess my thinking is: if it's good at the Max pressure it's definitely going to be good below that. Cheers. "narrow range" is something that people that ...

Re: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and RSV Vaccine

"Paid for at no cost" is a useful idiom. Actually, over my lifetime and presently (Medicare premiums) I am paying a lot for those vaccines. Funding for Medicare, which totaled $888 billion in 2021, comes primarily from general revenues (46%), payroll tax revenues (34%), and premiums paid by benefic...

Re: OSCAR: What's the difference between support levels of machines?

Happy to help, and I wonder if part of the diff between 'well' and 'fully' is the things that aren't 'well explained' in the data, like 'eS' 'eFL' 'eMO', 'eSO'. I could guess, maybe? at some, but it looks like they're saying "well, there's data here, we'll report it." even though they, and we, may n...

Re: OSCAR: What's the differnce between support levels of machines?

So the answer I got in the dev chat was: "IMHO, Fully supported means that the software has connectivity with the hardware interface, compatibility with the data stream, and a high level of integration that permits decoding and displaying most data elements. Whereas well-supported means that the sof...
