34 overweight Spanish dudes from a JAMA study
For some people, healthier lifestyle choices can led to lowered treated AHI. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2791455 Findings In this randomized clinical trial involving 89 Spanish men with moderate to severe OSA who had overweight or obesity and were receiving CPAP ther...

Re: New Cpap? I NAP
There are 45 iNap posts on the forum. https://www.cpaptalk.com/search.php?keywords=Inap I kept spitting out the mouthpiece at night when I trialed it. YMMV. The mean treated AHI was 8.7 from their Feb 2021 study. There were 32 participants in the study. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33706052/ Majo...

Re: Without Cannabis my AHI Went Up!!
I did start taking Ozempic 2 weeks ago tomorrow and have lost just over 15 pounds. That’s crazy… The swelling in my body is completely gone…all of it. Do you mean the injections helped resolve water retention problems? I have relatives with edema, so I am interested in possible solutions. Thank you.

Re: ResMed AS-11 user wanting a WiFi SD card recommendation
Re:flashair It’s not plug and play … You connect to the access point on the card to download the data to your computer. Then reconnect to your regular WiFi network. Else be willing to go into your router to set a static address for the card. Maybe I have a faulty card. But the stability of the card’...

Re: Headgear causing migraine - Would like recommendations, please
I think what I need is a fish bowl helmet, like space men wore in 1950's sci fi movies, instead of a mask. Believe it or not there is a helmet for CPAP from a company in Italy. BUT (there is always a BUT) it doesn't look comfortable but YMMV    https://harol.it/en/ https://harol.it/w...

Re: Resmed Aircurve ASV data
0.0 is pretty common with a Resmed ASV, they're really good at what they do. All those high spikes on the pressure chart though, that's an indication that the machine is working pretty hard to achieve that 0.0 result. As PR notes, machine is working REALLY hard to get you a pretty waveform. Would t...

Re: Do i need CPAP? pic attached
? ? ?
Three years ago you were using a Dreamstation.
Two years ago you switched to an A10 Elite.
Now you’re back to asking whether you need a CPAP?
Why did you stop using it?

The F&P Brevida pillow looks similar. The venting port also looks similar. The strap is different. Re: New to the board and about to start my new life with a CPAP machine
Hope that you will be among the lucky few that will breeze through the adaptation process 🤞 🤞 🤞 If not, having a positive attitude and being willing to power through the difficulties you encounter will dictate whether the CPAP will work for you. The following post about "BUT-heads" is illuminating. ...

Re: Dreamwear headgear used with AirFit N30i Nasal Cushion ?
The AirFit cushion will NOT fit the DreamWear frame.watertrails wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 4:50 pmThe purpose was to try a airfit nasal cushion when i only have the dreamwear head piece.
The headgear straps from a mask kit occasionally may fit and be used with frames from other mask kits.

Re: Suffering with Awful Medical Supply Company
I clean my machine nightly with activated oxygen tech, which has eliminated constant and nearly-catastrophic ear infections - which happened regardless of how often I carefully washed and dried my equipment (which was daily, every morning). Not on topic re: DME but still important Please consult wi...

Re: Updates (part 1: Sleep stuff)
someone here(grumpyhere, i think) recommended veterinary tape. wrap it around the head straps to help keep them from sliding about. Err my suggestion (that works for sure) with the vet tape was to reduce the strap loosening with the new P10 buckle. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=182441#p1...

Re: Removing mask asleep
It's a common problem. Try Pugsy's suggestion from another thread. Yeah, taking the mask off and not realizing it is a fairly common problem. Seems especially to affect new cpap users fairly often. I did it a few times myself when I first started therapy and even had a few nights where it looked lik...
