I run Parallels and Windows XP on my Intel Mac at home.
This enables me to run Encore Pro. I have version 1.7.
I have to say that running Windows XP using Parallels on my Intel Mac at home seems faster than it does on my PC at work.
I've been very happy with it.

I get that same error quite frequently.
For me it takes several times of removing and reinserting the card into the card reader and jiggling it until the green light comes on.
Next time, I'll try Catnapper's trick.

mkirkwag- I used to have mouthleaks too. It really seemed to me that I wasn't having mouthleaks but my mouth was always dry in the morning. I even had mouthleaks when I taped--air managed to burble out of my mouth corners and the tape made me sweat and drool (not pretty). What worked for me was a fu...

I've had allergies all my life. I'm allergic to everything but trees. I even have food allergies. In grade school, I used to fall asleep at the desk becuase I took benadryl all the time when I was little. I was tested and had the shots about 30 years ago and they helped some. But what works for me n...

Hello James- I've been using an auto bipap now for about two months. I find it much more comfortable than my previous APAP. The lower pressure on the exhale really seems to help me to not swallow air and not struggle exhaling against the pressure. I, too, think that the bipap is superior to either A...

I've been using the hybrid since it came out and it's turned out to be the only mask that seems to work for me. I like nasal pillows masks but had serious mouth leak issues. I use the hybrid with an auto bipap and pressures of EPAP 8 and IPAP 14. I'm not having very much leaking above the normal ven...

I reuse my pads for about 4 nights or so in a row and then I wash them out with soap and hot water and let them air dry before using them again.

Sam-
what was your leak rate? You high AHI might be due to mouth leaks.
You might need to get your leak rate under control.

My favorite is the "Peace" scent which is mostly lavender I think.
One drop of "Peace" with one drop of "Clear" works for me.

Paul B- I think that the Respironics algorithm works better for me too. The Vantage responds really fast to an apnea with the result that it would often wake me up and I'd be choking against the sudden blast of air from the rapid pressure increase. Whereas, the respironics bipap seems to respond to ...

readytosleep- a sinus rinse is simply rinsing out your nose and sinuses with warm saline (salt water) about 1 hour before bed. Do a search on the board for "sinus and rinse". What I do is mix up a little salt in about a cup of warm water. I lean over the sink, tilt my head and squirt this mixture up...

Bill- I don't feel like it's sucking the air out of me on the exhale at all. I feel like it's letting me exhale normally. With a regular APAP, I felt like I was struggling to exhale against the pressure. It even made me choke and prevented me from exhaling. No fun. I guess it's depends on the indivi...

Hello Catnapper- I have an M series auto bipap. I got it about a month and a half ago. Prior to that I had a resmed vantage S8 autopap which is a great machine but I was having a hard time with aerophagia and breathing out against the higher pressures. What pressure(s) were you titrated to? If your ...

Nana- what is your pressure setting? If we know that we may be able to give more useful suggestions. For example, one component of your leak rate is your mask vent flow rate which is pressure dependent. I also notice that your HI (hypopneas) are a bit high. People on this board have observed that th...
