Re: Possible incorrect Event analysis

You also skipped right past the very first post at the top of the forum , the one that says "read this BEFORE POSTING!", you know, where you would have gotten another explanation of what, and how, to post, to get help. Actually I did read and followed the detailed instructions in the “PLEASE READ T...

Re: Need alternative to AirSense 10

My problem with the AirSense is that it doesn't always deliver the minimum pressure --in fact, there are times when it delivers no pressure at all. When I exhale, the machine stops delivering pressure. All well and good. But after I finish exhaling, the AirSense 10 doesn't start delivering pressure...

Re: Possible incorrect Event analysis

Don't put img tags around things that aren't images. image links have to end with something like jpg or png, you're just sending a webpage in the first two, and you've double tagged the second two. Problem was that the instructions given in the Dec 22 sticky thread on "Attachments -PLEASE READ" wer...

Re: Humidifier heating element heats up when water runs out

I have a ResMed Airsense 11. Occasionally the water in the humidifier basin runs out. AFAICT there's no sensor in the machine to turn the heating element off when that happens. Is that true? If so, is that liable to damage the entire machine? Or at most just the plastic basin (which can be replaced...

Re: Epr and flow limitations

Flow limitation decreases when I turn epr on. I’ve seen this talked about in this forum. Why is this? As a sidenote, this always happens regardless of the pressure so the difference isn’t because of the pressure change in the examples I put. Why exactly does epr reduce flow limitations? Without sle...

Re: For those running APAP with a narrow range.....

Your statement above that they "don't care" is just plain wrong. You don't know as much as you think you do. Lane101: Thoroughly researched APAP algorithms per above post. "I read things, I'm an expert". No, you're not. But trying to tell you anything is a waste of time, and I've wasted enough time...

Re: For those running APAP with a narrow range.....

Your statement above that they "don't care" is just plain wrong. You don't know as much as you think you do. Unclear why you are referring to having figured out therapy settings that take my AHI below 1.0 as just "good enough". Your statement is nonsensical. Given range of post therapy results CPAP...

Re: Cleaning (AGAIN???)

I'm sure this topic has been done to death, so I just want to offer a technique I use that I never heard of anyone else mentioning: Once a week, instead of washing out the tubing with anti-bacterial scrub soap (as I did for quite a while), now I fill the tank about 1/3 full with isopropyl alcohol, ...

Re: Should I turn on the 'AB Filter' option on my ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for these filters?

Most people won't need an AB filter at all. Special needs only like maybe additional allergy pollen filter for those with extreme allergies or maybe someone who has a compromised immune system. That's what I use 'em for, the cleaner air at night helps keep my nose open even during allergy attack da...
