Re: CPAP mask for 12year old boy

A script is required for whole masks. You can buy the pieces off of amazon (ie frame, headgear and mask separately ). If your spare machines are respironics be aware of the recalls.

Re: Finally an answer to my Problems?

Following up with ENT tomorrow. A consultation with an ENT should be standard medical practice for everyone diagnosed with OSA. On the first visit, the ENT should scope your nose all the way down to the vocal cords. It's a quick procedure done in the office. You will be able to see what the doctor ...

I was gonna say "me and palerider," but frankly I'm a little scared of him.
Ehhh. The worst he can do is block you which really does suck as he is one of the most knowledgable on settings 🤷‍♀️ but whatever.

Re: A ResMed Funded Test of APAP Machines

Wow that guy is obnoxious. I only watched a little bit before I got disgusted at his claiming a 4.0 ahi night was good sleep. I'll stick with my resmed sledgehammer thanks.

Re: Insurance or not???

Lsat sells good low hr machines here for a lot less than insurance. I'd check with him. Dme really screwed me with the rental. Wound up paying far more than it was worth.

Re: Gas Stoves and Apnea

I don't get this debate. I use what my house comes with. Had propane stove, water heater and heat for 15 years because that was how the house came when we bought it. Our current house is all electric because that is how it was when we bought it. Either are fine. My bbq grill is propane. It comes wit...

Re: Using eucalyptus with CPAP for persistent blocked nose

When we lived in Northern Nevada we had a hot tub. There was a eucalyptus and mint pod thing to make your water smell good. We used it frequently. I didn't know it was dangerous. Bath and bodyworks sells a version of it also for the bath. https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/p/eucalyptus-spearmint-showe...

Re: Tube temp to avoid rainout

Other literature I've read says to lower the tube temp so that the temperature difference between the air inside the mask is closer to the ambient room temperature. You may have *seen* conflicting information, but anything you've seen suggesting you should lower the temperature of the tube is just ...

Re: getting a lot of mask leaks lately...

I use the N-20 you posted above. I'm a side sleeper and I really like it but I have a small face and I find the "for her" version fits me best the regular size one leaked like crazy.

Re: CPAP Tubing Wrap recommendations

Thank you, Lazarus! It's worth trying, especially for $9 with free shipping. I appreciate the recommendation. This way, the hose itself won't be cold, nor will it wake me up anymore with its unpleasant noise as it moves across my dresser when I toss and turn. Excellent! Any time. And you are very w...

Re: CPAP machine filter: Necessary or just another revenue stream?

I have two smokers in my house so I change them every time someone on here brings it up and I remember to check. They get brown and icky after a month or two. I would post a pic but unfortunately people haven't cleaned out their old photos and there is no room left. And I have no idea how to figure ...

How can 1 person in a family have stunningly great looks?
Hard to figure, but here I am. :) (jk)
Well, in a forum, we all have to be good looking, 'cause we're so hard to see.
But only froggie is a well known sex symbol.

Re: Lankylefty27

At my age, I am reminded of my mother every time I look in the mirror. My gray hair was late--like hers. It's a cruel twist of fate isn't it? I really hate seeing my mom in the mirror looking back at me. My gray hair was early. (Mid 30's just like my mom and its the really white gray which makes me...
