Re: Help with Pressure Settings for New APAP User
Thanks to all who have responded and offered suggestions. I had no idea the minimum pressure was so important, but given the explanations that's logical. Last night I was able to persuade him to raise the minimum pressure to 5 and he insisted that the maximum be 12. I explained that the minimum need...

Re: Help with Pressure Settings for New APAP User
Thanks for your response. 1. I am planning to use OSCAR. I used Sleepyhead several years ago and found it quite valuable. At this point I only have 4 hours of data. 2. I have watched a couple of fit videos and will watch them with him before tonight. I think the mask does fit pretty well at reasonab...

Help with Pressure Settings for New APAP User
I've been using a CPAP machine for 22 years now and I've benefitted from being a member of this forum for almost all of that time. I currently have an Airsense 10 Elite. My pressure has been fixed at 9 since the beginning. My AHI is consistently under 1. I use an Airfit N30 mask. As far as I am conc...

Airsense 10 Red Frowny Face
I have both an Airsense 10 Elite and an Airsense 10 Autoset, both set to a fixed pressure of 9. I have been using the Elite for most of the past 6 months. I have been using a Dreamwear nasal pillow mask for over a year. I have almost never gotten a red frowny face for mask fit until the last two wee...

Small Swift FX Pillows free to good home
I have a bunch of small pillows for the Swift FX that I no longer need. Some of them are still sealed in their giant ResMed plastic bags, most of them are in their small zipper bags. All are unopened and unused. I don't want to add them to the list fill. If anyone can use them, pm me and I'll send t...

Re: Cheap Manometer
Thanks for all the suggestions. Since simplicity and size are my big issue, I'll invest in a guage manometer if I decide to buy an XT Fit.

Cheap Manometer
For four years I travelled with a Zzzz-PAp machine, a forerunner to the current XT Fit machine. It failed in the middle of a trip, causing an episode of atrial fibrillation, but I had no idea that it had failed until my doctor checked it out -- it was blowing air but at a pressure of about 3. I'd li...

Help with Leak Data
I have a new AirSense 10 Elite and am enjoying the information I can get from that and from SleepyHead. For the last several nights I've had an AHI in the 1.0 area, with a high of 1.69 and a low of 0.57. I have had a green smiley face on mask fit. But I have a high leak rate. I use a Swift FX and ha...

Re: OT: FitBit Charge 2 woes
Restart your Fitbit? https://www.imore.com/how-restart-your-fitbit-tracker I read that on a Fitbit discussion while trying to get mine to sync. Other procedure suggested: Turn Bluetooth on on your phine Log out of the Fitbit app Restart your phone Log back in to the Fitbit app It should start syncin...

Re: How much deep sleep do you get?
Over the last week I've had from 15 minutes to 1 hour 11 minutes of deep sleep, tending toward the lower values. During my deep sleep periods I'm having no leaks or hypopneas. But I don't see any correlation between leaks and hypopneas and light or REM sleep. I'm not sure how much I trust the fitbit...
