Re: New ResMed full face mask....the F40

Let's not lose site of the fact that it's "strange" (not to me) that all the mask, etc manufacturers all seem to "recommend" replacement of items right along with what/when most insurance will pay for the item. Hmmmm....that doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the most likely reason why. I...

Re: New ResMed full face mask....the F40

Resmed is recommending that use replace the mask every three months ($124/each). In contrast, my quattro masks are replaced once every two years and are still working fine at that time point. Since when did you decide to follow the "cash cow replacement schedule".....ResMed recommends that replacem...

Re: Events per hour has increased

I refuse to do them when data is available for verification. Some additional info might also prove helpful-- neck size, height/weight, rest of sleep study info (especially sleep stage and position dependency), and if you want to get fancy, get a cheap pulse oximeter and software (EVERYBODY has one)...

Re: Events per hour has increased

My own husband will be 75 next month and he also has the "pee alot" thing because of enlarged prostate. Comes with the territory but there are meds which might help. My own husband is too bullheaded to ask about the meds but they might be worth considering. While nocturia is also a known symptom of ...

Re: Events per hour has increased

How old are you? Male or female? If male what are the odds the nocturia is related to the old prostate? Pee a lot during the day???? SleepHQ has a free and paid for version. The free version is sufficient and it allows for an interactive report so we can zoom in and scroll through the flow rate look...

Re: Events per hour has increased

I have my doubts as to whether you were really asleep or not when those events got flagged that you zoomed in on. Did you wake up during the night? I don't see anything that comes close to a complex sleep apnea diagnosis. What I see is awake/arousal breathing irregularities. A scroll through a Sleep...

Re: Amazon filters

So..... Finding OEM ResMed filters on the internet is not without its challenges. Mostly what we find when we do a search is going to be aftermarket filters. Years ago I looked and looked and the only place I found was this seller (link below) and I found him on EBay then later I couldn't find him o...

Re: Airsense 10 problem?

Maybe you could build yourself a DIY manometer and verify pressures when you start up the machine????
You can buy them but they are also easy to build. Somewhere on the forum a DIY manometer is explained but I don't have that link handy.

Re: Suggestions from my waveforms.

Overall it seems that the apnea is more or less in control, my sleeping isn't. Exactly. Common problem though. Lots of people have crappy sleep and were expecting the cpap to fix all their crappy sleep problems but the machine can only fix one problem and that is the OSA problem. If OSA was the sol...

Re: New to CPAP, CA is high?

Your CAs/centrals aren't too numerous. An occasional central is normal even if it is a real asleep central and I am betting that yours aren't.

But read this thread and pay special attention to my instructive posts.

Re: Suggestions from my waveforms.

what in the graphs show that I'm waking up? Asleep breathing is very regular and rhythmic and without gulps of air because we don't take gulps of air when we are asleep. So if you see irregular breathing right before a flagged event...you weren't asleep. I circled the asleep breathing on this examp...

Re: Suggestions from my waveforms.

Couple of questions. Are you waking very many times during the night? If so...any idea why? How would you rate your sleep quality as well as how you feel during the day? Do you take any meds of any kind? On the zoomed in section you posted....the bulk of those flagged events you weren't sound asleep...
