Re: upgrade to what machine

They agreed, but quoted me a price of $2,500 for either of them. I'm speechless!!! Holy crap. I am speechless also except for a few words that are rather blue. Talk about getting screwed... I know what I would do and tell them. Wouldn't be nice. I wouldn't even use them to buy a filter. Get a copy ...

Re: AHI is rising HELP

As for now i may try to set my min at 9 instead of 8 and see if that helps at all. I imaging i must try that for several nights to get a real idea? My 90% pressure is usually 10-11, sometimes a little less or a little more but most commonly 10-11. Yes. You can give 9 cm minimum as trial. Watch your...

Re: Very New and Questions

Are you in the USA? I ask because I haven't heard of Panasonic CPAP before. Has anyone else heard of them? I have never heard of Panasonic CPAP either. Googled it and came up empty except for something about oxygen concentrator.. To the original poster regarding your prescription. You do have a rig...

Re: Newbie-AHI Dropping

Welcome to the forum. Your on screen data 7 and 30 day AHI averages make it hard to see what is going on from a single night. Takes a substantial change to show up even in the 7 day average. There is more information available to you with software. Check your PM box for some software options informa...

That is just about what I do. There are no hard fast rules. Personal preference really.

Re: AHI is rising HELP

Off hand I think that perhaps the minimum pressure is a bit to low but it would be best to see what one night looks like. When the minimum is too low it takes too long for the machine to raise the pressure to where it needs to be to prevent the events effectively. Need to give it a bit more of a hea...

Re: Very New and Questions

Is there a way to tell that it reall is apnea and not just a mediocre doctor using the diagnosis of the day to get money? Get a copy of your sleep study. The numbers don't lie. You have a machine? What does it say on it? Is there a model name on top, side or bottom? Unless the doctor is also the su...

Re: Anyone w/ "complex apnea"? Events possible awake?

Still working on trying to save one night 's data and to copy and paste on to here. Try screen shot. This is how I do it. Open the image to full size so it is easily read. I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time. Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot...

Re: Had some dental work done today

Cpap use with root canal won't be an issue. I had one done in May. Used CPAP. The extraction..... I don't know. I do know that they say no smoking or no sucking liquids with a straw because it might "suck" out the clot. I forget time frame..24 hours maybe. Not that we are actually sucking air... I w...

Re: Give me your poor, tired, nasal pillows...

Oh so you wash the nasal pillow once a week? I just switched to this from mask, which I was told to wash once a month. Washing that often doesn't make them go mushy faster? No, I don't think washing more frequently makes them go mushy faster. Not unless the washing the routine is extremely harsh. B...

Re: Switching to nasal pillow

Oh and when I asked the sleep lab nurse why they didn't give me the nasal pillow to begin with, she said because my air pressure requirment is 10 and the nasal pillow is for 10 or lower so she said I would just have to see if it works for me. I want it to work! What is the term for BS (bull hockey)...

Re: Give me your poor, tired, nasal pillows...

Monthly? Maybe, maybe not. I get several months out of one. Others seem unlucky and do good to get 2 weeks. I typically alternate. Wash every 5 to 7 days letting the newly washed pillow sit till used at the next washing. I am currently using the pillows I got last Dec. I am lucky that I can use the...

Re: Where can I download Encore Pro 2?

I was wondering where I could download Encore Pro. Which version do I need for Windows 7? I have other PC's but the Windows 7 machine is the only one with a card reader. Thanks. Version choices for Pro are depended on either 32 bit or 64 bit systems and not which Windows version BUT Your profile sa...
