Re: .3 AHI or lower, but still wake up feeling suffocated sometimes.

OK. Please ignore my first data post then. It wasn't the data for my posted problem anyway. I read the wiki on how to format data. So here is the data for my posted problem. At 4:15 am in the morning (according to my bedside clock) I woke up gasping for air and had a pounding heart. But that event d...

Re: .3 AHI or lower, but still wake up feeling suffocated sometimes.

Last night I used APAP with a setting of 10 min and 14 max. OSCAR shows the machine staying at 10, but ramping up and then going back down in a sawtooth pattern. But always going back to 10. Here is the OSCAR from this night. I didn't feel like suffocating this night, or remember waking up gasping. ...

Re: .3 AHI or lower, but still wake up feeling suffocated sometimes.

Is there a reason you apparently are on plain Cpap even though your machine is listed as an Auto? That is my prescription. But doc is Ok with me making tweaks. My experience with APAP has been that I have to set the bottom number at 10 and then move the top number up to 13 when I have a cold. The 9...

Re: New to Dreamstation Auto Cpap

I have the Dreamstation machine and use it successfully. Regarding the Flex control, the settings you have access to only decrease or increase the flex but do not shut it off - low flex, medium flex, more flex, but always flexing. Regarding the way that the machine ramps up when you put your finger ...

Re: Battery backup causes Dreamstation power problem?

If this an issue with the machine, I will need to have my medical supplier fix it. But I am hoping you guys can help me decide what to do here before I make them give me a new unit, if that is the right path to take. This is a frustrating problem since it seems like some kind of power check in the u...

Re: Battery backup causes Dreamstation power problem?

The machine came with a power supply that has two parts: Power brick that connects to the machine, AC cord that goes from the wall to the power brick. When the brick has failed me on travel, I have tried swapping out the AC cord that goes from the wall to the brick (these cables are available at Bes...

Battery backup causes Dreamstation power problem?

Hi, first post here. I have a power problem with my equipment and would appreciate any help. BTW: I have severe OSA (70 AHI) and have successful treatment, 100% compliance, and feel great (when everything works). Been on treatment for 18 months now. I use a Phillips Dream-station with heated humidif...
