Re: The proof was in the pudding...and the DME!!

Why does this not surprise me? Either they are idiots or they just plain lied to you. Neither sparks any confidence.

Re: SleepyHead Qt v0.8 alpha

I removed the Sleep App folder in My Documents. I got the 8.2 zip file unzipped. I put the 8.3 exe file into the folder. It now works. It shows ver 8.2. I can't see where to download anything other than the exe file that says 8.3. Am I missing something? I didn't see a zipped file for 8.3. I have da...

Re: SleepyHead Qt v0.8 alpha

Is your home directory different to your windows username? If so you may have just discovered Qt bug. No. Same name. It does say it can't find Brenda something or other (goes by fast and closes) and sometimes missing dll file (always the same one but again goes by so quick). Probably has something ...

Re: No chin strap required

(i know i'm going to leak like crazy tonight now ) Yep, that's what you get for bragging and jinxing yourself. When I first started therapy I had some open mouth issues so I taped for a couple of months. Then started getting lazy and forgetting till I was already nearly asleep. It was a nice surpri...

Re: VS - Vibratory Snore?

Large leak is usually reported as in % of time using the machine. Not in seconds. For Respironics to flag any leak as Large Leak it has to be a huge leak. Now if you have done the math and computed the % of time in large leak down to 30 seconds that is fine. Would need to factor total time slept dow...

Re: software?

You can see examples of your software options here. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64906&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=PR+S1+software+options Click on the link to my machine in my profile to see if yours at least looks visually like mine. If it does and yours says Aflex, then you have the PR Sys...

Re: Got the machine

Regarding SleepyHead. I have been having trouble with the latest test version. Might want to try the older version if you run into trouble with 8.2 or higher. 8.1 did not give me any problems. There is a link to older versions on the home page.

Re: Nose burns using nasal pillow

Might also add a wee bit of Lansinoh ointment (found in the baby section at Walmart because nursing mom's use it on nipples) inside the nostril.

Re: cpap with a cold?

o I've thought about buying Afrin for irregular use...but this "don't use for more than 3 days" things has me confused... As Janknitz has said Afrin rebound is bad news and very hard to break the cycle. Here is the scenario. We have nasal congestion for whatever reason meaning the nasal mucosa is s...

Re: apnea while napping on APAP?

Does sleeping in a different position reduce the severity of apneas? It can reduce the severity in some people. It can reduce number and duration in some people. Most common is supine sleeping being much more "worse" than other positions. While not everyone will be worse in a certain position, many...

Re: Got the machine

Good job. Have you seen your options regarding software? If not this will explain it. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64906&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=PR+S1+software+options If your computer does not have a slot for the SD card then you can get a generic card reader adapter for USB port. Use the ramp if it helps you fall asleep easier and quicker. That is what it's there for. As time goes by and with adjustment you may get to the point where you don't need it. If not, that is okay too.

Re: SleepyHead Qt v0.8 alpha

Have you got the latest zip file with all the DLLs? There were some older builds that were built on linux. The most recent are built on windows with the proper Qt SDK Yeah, I got those I was sure. I will try again with the stuff archangle says though they appear to be the same size. Edit: Failed ag...

Is your machine the System One Remstar Plus?

If so, there is no data to be seen except hours of use.
