Re: Get a tailor to make a protective shell for the reamed bag?

My main issue is traveling internationally. Since I may be taking public transportation, not staying in fancy places, having to attach the resmed bag to my backpack and having those be the two pieces of luggage I have, I thought this would be a good idea. I would attach a medical device placard if t...

Get a tailor to make a protective shell for the reamed bag?

Thinking of having a local tailor create a zippered bag for my reamed grey travel bag. Seems redundant, I know, but I want a more water resistant shell and just one level of extra separation between the resmed bag and the ground. I'd want the material to be water resistant and lightweight whole bein...

Re: Trouble Adjusting

I’d suggest that you raise your starting pressure to 6. A lot of people feel air-starved at 4. To change the pressure, enter the clinical menu by pressing the knob and the home button simultaneously for a few seconds until you see the clinical menu option. While this may not be a huge help, at leas...

i saw that part too (90 day reusable). I was hoping to just keep it in some airtight container for when I'm not using it for the remaining 75 days LOL

Has anyone heard of Bongo RX? Does it work?

Looks like there is a new device out that was recently FDA cleared to treat mild to moderate OSA. Their website is here: https://airavant.com/ I think it should be OK to link since it is the manufacturer's site and not a storefront. Anyway, is it just like the theravent? If so, I tried that before m...

Returning the CPAP Max pillow...any other suggestions?

I'm going to be returning the CPAP Max 2.0 pillow as I didn't find that it adequately prevented leaks and more importantly, I did not find it particularly comfortable above and beyond my current pillow (MyPillow). Any other suggestions to try? Someone recommended the Nest Easy Breather pillow since ...

Skeptical family member doesn't think a CPAP would help--how do I let them try out my machine?

I have an older family member that won't go do a sleep study even though they somewhat snore. There's some weird noises they make while sleeping, but I don't know if I'd call it "choking." Can they try my machine and mask if I remove the memory card and maybe change pressure range to 4-20? Anything ...

Re: Anyone use a comfortable Full Face Mask?

Great results with a Resmed F20. Alternate between silicon and memory foam insert. Mask frame offers both options. Yep, AirFit is silicon, AirTouch is foam. For me, foam is slightly more comfortable, but only lasts 2-3 weeks, so I alternate between them, and both work great. And a ZERO AHI last nig...

Re: Best soaps to use when cleaning hose and mask?

I use J&J Baby Shampoo/soap In the regular formula of Johnson’s Baby Shampoo it lists dihydrogen monoxide, cocamidopropyl betaine, PEG-80 sorbitan laurate and sodium trideceth sulfate. Citric acid, PEG-150 distearate, polyquaternium-10, fragrance and tetrasodium EDTA are also ingredients. The last ...

Re: New look to your machine

This is neat. I'm not a huge fan of the for her model design, but I don't know if I'd spend $25-30 to hide the design. How does the sticker impact heat dissipation from the device, if at all? This ResMed solution hides it too. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airsense-aircurve-10-faceplate W...

Re: Hpw does one "spoon" with a CPAP mask + hose?

Hi ZoomZoom ~~~ Congrats on rekindling the old flame! Sounds like the perfect time to try to add a Dreamwear mask to your routine. They are designed for snuggling and spooning. The vent may possibly bother your partner, (personally I love airflow on me but I know not everyone does) so in that event...

Re: Hpw does one "spoon" with a CPAP mask + hose?

I routinely route the hose laying on the mattress up and around the top of the bed pillow and then down to my face. This would allow me to "spoon" easily with my husband and the hose be out of the way. Only potential issue would be if the mask I was using had much venting going on that could blow d...

Hpw does one "spoon" with a CPAP mask + hose?

Been on CPAP for a couple months now, and it's starting to get more "sleepover-y" with an old flame. She loves to spoon, which I would normally easily oblige. Not sure how to deal with the mask and hose when at her place. No hosebuddy there, and I am not even sure that would help entirely. Is this s...
