I already posted some time ago about how flimsy the clips on the tank lid appear to be, as well as the point where they attach to the tank.

I have to report this has not happened to me; they seem to be OK.

I say keep it bone-dry when not in use. You can run the machine for about 30 minutes in the morning to make sure all the droplets are dried. This might be overkill, but I really don't want anything growing in there.

My biggest concern is that this will keep patients from being diagnosed. Some people have no other access to transportation. The fear of being told that one would not be allowed to drive could scare one away from seeking diagnosis.

The only time I would consider not using it is if I were so congested that it didn't work, or if my face or nose was so sore that I couldn't stand the mask. Neither has happened in the twenty-four years that I've been using CPAP. I have had bad colds and sore noses, but I struggled through anyhow.

If the DME is well run, they would want you to be compliant. It's in their interest to get paid for the machine rather than to have to repossess it and have a used machine on their hands.
