Re: Newish user : no benefits
To me, there are probably two benefits of successful cpap therapy. One, is to start feeling better, stop napping at stoplights, grumpiness, feeling tired, etc.... The other is your overall health improvement. Your AHI is high and needs to be corrected, but there are a lot of folks here whose AHI is ...

Re: Resmed F20 fitment
You may need to go to cpap.com or maybe Amazon and order the smaller headgear separately. It's an extra expense, but I have the same problem. I use the extra large mask, but the headgear is way too big. So.... I have to order the large headgear. All headgears tend to stretch after being worn, Usuall...

Re: Dreamwear FFM & Padacheek
I have been using padacheek liners for about a year. I love the feel and there are no mask marks on my face in the morning. My leak rates tend to soar, but my AHI is low (in the normal range) and the leaks do not wake me up... so all is good!

Re: Boo, resmed will stop mirage quattro in 2023, replacement suggestions?
Thanks for the replies and suggestions! Got busy and neglected to check for replies until now. After checking all my storage areas, I found three brand new Mirage Quattro cushions and two new elbow assemblies, and three (used) plastic masks. I usually get 6 months of service from my cushions with f...

Re: Boo, resmed will stop mirage quattro in 2023, replacement suggestions?
I used the Quattro for about 8 years. I thought it was time to try something else. The F&P Simplus looked similar so I tried it and I liked it. Used the Simplus for about 2 years when F&P came out with the Vitera. Although similar to the Simplus, it has a few additional features. I could not be hap...

Re: Boo, resmed will stop mirage quattro in 2023, replacement suggestions?
I'd be interested in what you come up with. I like the ultra mirage quattro because of the nose bridge adjustment. The Resmed F20 beat up my nose bridge so much, I had to abandon it. I finally got a full face I like, then this happens. I'm getting some extra cushions and a few complete mask sets, as...

You need to see your primary care doctor. There are many things that can cause fatigue. Maybe he can order you a blood test.

Re: Aeroflow regrets
I've used them for about a year since I quit using Crapria.... er... I mean Apria. My experience is they are much better with the quarterly resupply, but I'm needing a new machine and they aren't doing so good. I'm on Medicare, and they always use the "dealing with Medicare" excuse. But being in the...

Re: Can a pillow worsen apnea?
I got chewed out a while back by saying the buckwheat pillow was hard as a rock for me. At the risk of being kicked off this site, I think it's a Fred Flintstone-type pillow. But that's only my opinion, and you asked for them. Pillows are personal. Some folks like what I like and and vise versa. Ear...

Re: DME supplier recommendations
I have used areoflow for a year. I was previously stuck with Apria (Crapria) for maybe 10 years due to my HMO. ANYTHING is better than Crapria. My daughter called them for the first time the other day and she told them they "were so rude!". I smiled thinking "that's my Crapria". If you use Areoflow,...

Re: Need a New Machine
My daughter bought a new Resmed from our host (cpap.com) yesterday. I was a good deal because of the black Friday sale. You might want to check to see if you can get a new machine at a good price.

Re: Beginner's Problems
If all our therapy success depended on what our first mask was, we wouldn't have made it in cpap therapy. Mine was a liberty, and it was a nightmare. Unless you want to go thru the issues of keeping your mouth closed all night, as LSAT says, you'll need to use a full face mask. I purposely keep my m...

Re: New Guy here, South Central Virginia my introduction
I was recommended Aeroflow by members here when I went on Medicare. They may require a new prescription . . . They wouldn't take my five-year-old prescription. I may go to the sleep doc just to get a script so I can stock up before the end of the year. Do you know if they require a new prescription...

Re: New Guy here, South Central Virginia my introduction
You need to ask your DME if they will accept Medicare and start sending your supplies to you. I was recommended Aeroflow by members here when I went on Medicare. They may require a new prescription, but when it's time for new supplies, they email me a list, and I check off what I need, and it comes ...
