Re: It's time to replace your mask when...

This might be obvious, but try just replacing the cushion and not the whole mask.

Re: Download Resmed data if out of the USA

I don't know why you're complicating things by suggesting what you want to do is not possible because you're not in the USA. Had you been in the USA you would face the same challenges. The Mac is perfectly capable of reading ResMed data from SD Cards, I transfer to my iMac all the time. ResMed AirSe...

Re: Horrible smell traced to empty humidifier

At least when you top up the humidifier tank, you have to put the lid down when you're done.

Re: MyAir and Fitbit Accuracy

When you go to bed and turn on the machine, look at the time.
When you get up and turn the machine off, look at the time.
Do a little math to calculate the hours and minutes.

Compare what MyAir says against what you calculated.

Re: Particles in Humidifier Resmed Airsence 10

Problem located. After getting no where with Resmed on the phone and my DR never hearing of the problem I decided to investigate myself.Just like MR WRX said above it was some type of insulation around the fan motor. When the fan would spin it chopped little pieces of the green insulation of and they...

Re: Wife Has Issues a Few Days Into Treatment

Another question... how does the machine know when you are asleep? Can you trick the machine into believing you are asleep? I have tried to find documentation on how ResMed's Sleep Onset Detection works, without success. But after looking at my sleep breathing patterns with OSCAR, it is obvious tha...

Re: EPR- Does anyone use this setting?

According to my sleep doc, it's matter of personal preference. I don't like it. However, some may love it. Also, I think that the EPR makes the machine more problematic for anybody you're sharing the room with. You don't have EPR on your machine My machine has A-Flex and C-Flex, which are the same ...

Re: EPR- Does anyone use this setting?

Also, I think that the EPR makes the machine more problematic for anybody you're sharing the room with. And why do you think that? There is a change in pitch when exhaling. Rather than a constant while noise, there's a variable noise. There is a change in pitch when exhaling (or inhaling) regardles...

Re: Getting droplets out of tubing after cleaning

Honestly, I don't know what I think might get into the hose. But if the manufacturer is recommending that I rinse it daily, I figured there must be a reason. Cautionary warning labels are primarily to protect the manufacturer from litigation. Spend a few minutes reading the warning labels on items ...

Re: Getting droplets out of tubing after cleaning

When I used to wash my hose, (I don't anymore). Immediately after washing, I would hold it at the approximate half way point and spin it around quite vigorously. I would then spin the other side. This forced a fair amount of water droplets out. I would then connect to device and run a mask fit cycle...

Re: Total Time in Apnea (TTIA)

Seeing the way you handle yourself on here I had no concern about that. Besides that, I wasn't correcting you. :) I was correcting the youtube link. It said Laurel & Hardy. :? For me, I take a valid correction as a learning experience. I have had a number of them on here. I expect more in the futur...
