Re: Just started cpap.. can't stand it. Any advice?

I got Resmed Airsense 10 4 days ago. And I can't use it more than an hour because I feel like I will suffocate. I got the nasal mask. Should I change it to full mask? I don't know what to do. After using it for an hour, I feel that I must take it off or I will die. Any advice? :((( Wear it around t...

Re: Is SleepyHead still OK to use?

I suggest getting OSCAR and playing with it. You don't have to remove SleepyHead either plus during the install of OSCAR it will ask you if you want the SH date imported. Pretty painless. Thanks for the good info Pugsy. The SH does seem to work, but you're right I should go ahead and back it up wit...

same CPAP brick.
A ' brick' is what we usually use to refer to a cpap that doesn't produce any data, which means neither sleepyhead nor the more capable Oscar will do any good.
Oh oops, I thought it just meant a big heavy old thing.
My SH does seem to work, unless it is lying to me!

Re: Is SleepyHead still OK to use?

Hi, congrats on being able to be here now! Oscar is a newer tweaked version of SH, so has more comprehensive data, and yes you should switch, but I don't know if your 'brick' will work with it... what model of which machine do you use and have you ever tried an auto vs fixed? Also you'd need an SD ...

Re: Large leak with Tap Pap

TapPap has worked great for me for many years and my water tank lasts about 2.5 days in winter (dry heat) and longer in summer (humid climate, no AC). Different machine though. It blows some noticeable air, more than the P10 which is diffused, but not as much as the Bleep. Sorry, I don't know how to...

Re: Cleaning Phillips Respironics System One.

No I am really not. I am not gonna breathe in little bits of foam so they can get into my lungs. I don't care what people's symptoms are. That is not normal. I don't care what that company says. When was the last time you replaced the washable foam filter? It could be deteriorating Seems unlikely t...

Is SleepyHead still OK to use?

I was away from the forum for awhile, spending my time on a breast cancer forum but now I don't need that as much, yay. When I got back here, everyone seems to be using OSCAR. I have SleepyHead, is that still considered a good diagnostic? Or is OSCAR picking up more patterns and I should switch? I'm...

Re: Non-sinus headache from straps - try a hat!

Sorry about this very late response, found this in a Search on "headache from straps." I appreciate this suggestion, will try a hat! For years I used a Tap Pap on my teeth, no headaches at all, but my teeth are getting old so it's probably time to stop that. Switched two weeks ago to a nasal pillow...

Ah!! Thanks for doing the experiment for me :D
I don't have the NozeSeal, so I didn't fully do your experiment, but I fear the Tap Pap would be too heavy to be held on by only that. The P10 is so light, that has a better shot.

Re: Tap Pap to AirFit to Bleep

<< Why are you using alcohol? Do you have adhesion issues? >> Hi, thanks for the helpful replies! I used alcohol because there was no Bleep wipe included in the kit, we couldn't find Sea Breeze at the CVS, and the Bleep instructions say "alcohol prep." It worked very well for adhesion. << With hose ...

Re: NozeSeal

Just thought of this from another thread but what about trying nozeseal with a tap pap with the mouthpiece removed? It’s go up over your head, do you think that work With the tape? [/quote] Easy to remove the mouthpiece of the TapPap, so I just tried it. You should have seen me with a Covid mask hol...

Re: Tap Pap to AirFit to Bleep

Yeah you gotta take care of those pearly whites! My teeth are straight but I lost my retainers and don’t know if I trust the tap paps mouthpiece since my teeth have shifted just not out. If we could just stick it on our noses we wouldn’t have to worry about teeth issues at all. I think it’d be a pr...

Re: Tap Pap to AirFit to Bleep

My Bleep hose is 10 inches not including the plastic attacher. That's the original shorter hose and it is not as flexible as the new heat sync hose which is not quite 18 inches. If you can get the new hose I think you will like it a lot better. Talk to Stuart first. If he can't get you the hose let...

Re: Tap Pap to AirFit to Bleep

I should add, TapPap advises NOT using one if one or more upper teeth stick out beyond the others. One of my teeth has been shifting out over the years, probably not FROM the TapPap, but who knows. So I do need to transition off it.

Re: Tap Pap to AirFit to Bleep

I haven’t looked at a tap pap in a minute but pulling from the nozeseal thread active now here, I wonder if you could tape it to your nose and take off the mouth part?? Just thinking! Yes I just posted on the NozeSeal thread too! I will be testing tapes now! Oh wait, you meant the Tap Pap, yes mayb...
