Re: Recommended Pulse Oximeter

What is the current pulse oximeter rated highest by forum members? I have had 2 health watches with P-OX capability, and both showed SAME levels as the medical equipment I've checked them against. The one I use now is a MoreSo, does BP, pulse, Ox, AND even ECG, and cost just under $40 on Amazon.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

WOW! Had a similar experience here, but it was a hole in the outside wall that the landlord did for a plumbing fix, but never repaired. Once the rats found it, it was party time, and my food and electronics took the brunt of their fun. Traps and poison had little effect, AS did my cat. Ultrasonic d...

Re: How Long Are Mask Cushions Expected To Last?

Mask is a ResMed F30 full face and has been working pretty well but in the past week or so I’ve been suddenly getting spiking AHI numbers, going from 1-3 to above 7 and lots of rainout in the mask. Waking up with it full of condensation and feeling like it’s not working like before. Haven't used an...

For now, maybe try turning on Airplane Mode.
Exactly. If that fixes things, then it's possible someone has hacked that machine (unlikely, BUT possible).

If that DOESN'T fix it, then mental health care seems necessary.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt

Even though I felt a little under the weather for a day, I’m so grateful to have been able to get the vaccine. I had what I call 'pre cold' feelings, not sick, but just feeling like my immune system was working overtime, for both doses. Nothing I couldn't easily handle, and it took me over 2 months...

Re: Do I need a new machine?

I have owned my So Clean for many years. In the past when I changed the filter there was a distinct ozone type smell with every use. When it stopped I changed the filter. I no longer get that smell and am wondering if there is something wrong with the machine or did SOCLEAN change the composition a...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?

Kira, your dog will forgive you. They're amazing at that. We all have to make sacrifices for the common good. Even our sweet, innocent furbabies. Harper will forgive me. He already has. During February's cold snap, and continuing with rising water in the Mississippi, we have been invaded by wild ra...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LN678BK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I will post my impressions when I get the battery bank in. I believe it is coming from China so I am not getting Amazon's usual speedy delivery. P.S. I am so tempted to use this battery bank with my CPAP o...

They also have this one https://cpap.com.au/collections/cpap-ma ... 0599347293 which looks like a touchscreen Airsense 10
I LIKE that one! Some nice additions to the Airsense, and clean minimalist look.

Without SmartStart I would have to touch my machine, which I try to avoid at all costs.

Which reminds me, I should check the filter at some point.
How ya gonna check the filter if you won't touch the machine?
THAT sounds like Captain Obvious speaking!

+1 for getting rid of ramp up.
I used ramp for the first few months, until I got used to things, then disabled it. It IS just for user comfort, and insurance shouldn't care if you use it or not.

I liked it too, but both my machines had that fail within a year.
Within a year? It's still warranted.
I'm getting everything through the V.A., so totally guaranteed.

Obviously MyAir is useless.
If you NEED MyAir to tell you you're leaking, there is not a thing I can do for you.

auto turn on when I put my mask on my face
Yep, I would be lost without the SmartStart feature.
I liked it too, but both my machines had that fail within a year.
When 2nd failed (turned ON, but not off, and would restart at random when not in use), I turned it off, and now do it manually.

Re: Is it necessary to clean new CPAP supplies?

I just received a new mask, hose and water tank, and wanted to switch out all my old gear. However, I got in doubt about whether or not I should clean it all before using it for the first time. Previously I have not done so, but I'm not sure if that's me being careless? All the supplies have been s...
