Re: BREAS Z2 very noisy at mask

That travel hose is pretty effective. There is still some residual noise, but it's reduced a lot.
I have the travel hose, but in my case, I got used to the noise without it. I use a AirTouch F20 foam mask.
Give the travel hose a try.

Re: A ResMed Funded Test of APAP Machines

Yes... Uncle Nicko can be annoying, but I watched the video. There were some interesting take-aways. 1. Some providers have provided machines with the settings at 4-20. The study and Nick point out that in some cases having the 20 top end is detrimental, because the machines may respond to an event ...

Re: Are There Any Decent Travel CPAPs?

All travel units are not as quiet as the best full size machines. If the AirMini does not work for you, I am not sure that any other's will be much better. One thing worth pointing out about noise and the AirMini, that doesn't apply to other travel devices. The AirMini uses the HumidX, and many peo...

Re: Are There Any Decent Travel CPAPs?

All travel units are not as quiet as the best full size machines. If the AirMini does not work for you, I am not sure that any other's will be much better. The HDM Z2 is rated as slightly quieter than the AirMini, but there is still some noise transmitted into the mask. I use an F20 Foam mask, which...

Re: Traveling

To quote another user: "Travel"(smaller) machines are a waste of money and a marketing scam." I will respectfully disagree. If you have the ability to travel with your full size machine, of course that is the best therapy, and generally the quietest option. However... for some users, especially for ...

My brother purchased a unit from LSAT. Everything went smoothly, and he's very happy with the machine.

Re: AirSense 11 AutoSet: Not All Data Showing

One other observation.
When using the Airsense 10, the My Air app shows no data until it syncs. Sometimes takes a couple of hours.

On the Airsense 11, the My Air app will show partial data pretty quickly, but will sync fully later... in a couple of hours.

Re: Should I have a backup machine?

I think a backup is essential. I have not missed a night of therapy since I started on CPAP about 5 years ago. The only time that came close was during a 6 hour power failure here in Texas. I was miserable. We actually had a Generac installed over this past summer to alleviate that problem. I had an...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet or ResMed AirSense 10

I’m curious how people are handling the issues with the heated hose pulling out of the back of the A11? I just canceled my order for an A11auto after I was told they don’t issue heated hose because they have had too many issues with it pulling apart. Who doesn't issue heated hose? I have had mine s...

Yes, but I'm assuming that the ResMed choice should work in most any area in the USA, correct?

Re: FOR SALE...NEW Airsense 11 Autoset...$695

LSAT. That's a great price! I do have a trivia question.. The provider shows US Cellular. Mine is T-Mobile. Does the machine adjust to providers in any given area? US Cellular was available when I was in the Chicago Area, but I don't see then in Southeast Texas. Just curious if the machine can lock ...

Re: New AirSense 11 Autoset questions

I don't see any reason why you can't trim the air filter material. I'm sure it's the same stuff. I was going to do that with the filters left over from my AS10 but my order of AS11 filters arrived just in time. And 73 is not excuse for not learning something new. I'll be 75 in a couple of weeks (th...

Re: Are There Any Decent Travel CPAPs?

As a final follow up, currently there are some providers who are offering either a 15 day or 30 day trial on the Z2 Auto.
These can be found with a search on the internet.
