Re: Weight Control and Cpap machine
CPAP therapy didn't make any difference in my weight. I've been on xPAP a little over 10 years. It's only last year when I started getting serious about how I was eating that I started losing. I've lost about 40 pounds. But again nothing to with xPAP therapy as the weight loss only started last year...

Re: CMS50F is crap made in China
I bought this in August online from a great US store. May still be made in China, but I bought it from store in the US. I've never had any problems with it and it works great with Sleephead. A few questions on how something worked, which someone here answered, but no actual problems at all.

Re: DRY EYE SYNDROME
According to articles I have read, I probably have dry eye syndrome from CPAP. This could explain all the tearing I have. Yes tearing is one of the symptoms. An apt. with an eye doc is on the horizon. Is there anyone here who has this syndrome? Had this many years ago and needed Restasis to get rid...

Re: Do you find ramp up useful?
I never used it. I feel like I'm suffocating at anything under 7. When I started I was on straight CPAP at 9, so felt the ramp would be useless for me. Exhale relief is what helped me the most when I started out.

Re: New Users
Okay - here's the thing. I admit that sometimes new people can irritate me. The example given DOES irritate me. But I've chosen the path of saying nothing. My making a snarky comment will serve no useful purpose other than irritate the new person. Now we're both irritated so what did it accomplish?...

Re: Padacheek with facial stubble
I'm looking at getting a mask liner from padacheek but I'm wondering how they hold up with facial stubble. I shave in the morning, and usually with an electric so it's not that close of a shave, so by night there's a fair amount of stubble. My stubble tends to rough up polo shirt collars and soft j...

Re: Groundhog Day :-(
Max, I don't get it... you say you work long hours, have a long commute time, yet you have time to come on here and gripe and complain all the time. Perhaps if you worked on your attitude of "nothing works" you would be able to get it right and still have plenty of time to enjoy family life. Smile ...

Re: Groundhog Day :-(
I would love to have the energy to have hobbies. I would love to be in a situation where I could get some exercise. I work full time with a 45-50 minute drive each way, so by the time my 10 hour day is done, I'm also done. We have corporate meetings coming up next month and I have to fly there. The...

Re: Padacheek with facial stubble
My husband has a short beard and uses a mask liner from Pad a Cheek. The liner helps a lot with his leaks and hasn't worn out. I think he's had the liner a couple of years.

Re: Groundhog Day :-(
Max, I've been on xpap for over 10 years. I still get up each morning feeling horrible even though my numbers are excellent. My mask leaks a lot some nights, hardly any other nights. Obviously there are other things going on with me that have nothing to do with straight apeas/hypopnias. UARS? Maybe....

Re: FFM extremely annoying
I personally do not like mask liners, but not because they're hot; they just don't help me. On the other hand, my husband uses one for his FF mask (from Karen at Pad-a-Cheek). He can't stand to be hot, and this does not make him hot. He has a heated hose...but it's turned off. Humidifier down at 1. ...

 Humor is the best medicine. Please share if you have any serious offers. We may have an auction! Agreed! If you can keep your sense of humor, you stand a chance of working your way through a problem IMHO. So, who will start the bidding? Hey, I've been trying to GIVE mine away for years; no ta...

Re: What happens if I put machine in airplane mode?
I simply leave the machine in "phone home" mode. The reminder message is a PITA. After 3 years, nobody is listening, because it would be too boring, and nobody gets paid. No foil hat here--the crinkling interferes with my sleep. My phone charges just inches from my head. Radiation be damned! I char...

Re: leg numbness after sleep
It could very well be a back issue, a herniated disc or something else where the nerves in the back--probably lower part--are getting pinched in certain positions. I've had something similar happen in the past, but not to the degree you mention and only to one leg. I also get it in one of my arms at...

These are not guests but are the Registered Members who get infused with wisdom, anger, and an intolerance of differing opinions soon after registering. That i...
