Re: P10 Mask - Which pillow size?

I also recently adjusted to a P10 mask. Tried the medium first, which seemed the 'best fit,' but had trouble similar to yours. Then I found info that said one should choose the largest pillow size that works. So, I switched to the large pillow, which I was sure would not work. But I was wrong. The ...

Re: P10 Mask - Which pillow size?

Try the large size the next time you try it and I think you will have much better luck. If you can breathe just through your nose just fine and move enough air for comfort....it will work. The soreness....could have been from the medium being a bit too small or most likely you had the mask tension ...

Re: P10 Mask - Which pillow size?

OK new question - hence the change in the title. I received a new P10 mask yesterday and last night turned into a bit of a disaster for me. I have some nasal congestion pretty much all the time (due to permanent scarring - so nasal decongestion sprays do nothing much), and was therefore fearful that...

Re: False Flags and Mini-Leaks Question

Mini leaks could be causing arousals. Just because a leak isn't massive doesn't mean it isn't affecting overall sleep quality. Once a person has an arousal or awakening then that increases the chance of a false positive flag. Also increases the chance of a transitional or sleep onset apnea getting ...

Re: False Flags and Mini-Leaks Question

OK, a new question, and as required here, I've changed the title of the post and kept to the same thread. I've experimented a bit over the last week with pressure settings (while waiting for a new mask) and it has made little difference. For example, last night, I raised my minimum pressure to 7 for...

Re: Flow Limitations - Min Pressure Too Low?

You mentioned that you don't really 'trust' your machine, and so you are just riding out the 12 month contract before getting another one. Let's not minimize this issue. Trust is important. If you cannot trust your machine to work correctly - to keep you 'safe' - how will you ever manage to rest? C...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Well to continue the OT talk about good whiskey. Hubby got home this morning and I asked him "have you ever heard of a whiskey called Bushmills" and a millisecond after my last words he says "oh yeah...makes Jameson taste like dirty water"  I guess since my curiosity has been tweaked I n...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Apologies for turning this thread into a discussion about whiskey. That's what you get when you let an Irish guy loose on your forum!

For a really good tipple try the Kavalan single malts.

Their 12 year ones are smoother than 18 year olds from other brands.

I had to google it. I assumed it was Scotch because of the spelling, but I see it's made in Taiwan. Sounds like good stuff!

Re: Resvent ibreeze

I hear ya! Oh, BTW, if you can get in the US, try Bushmills (even smoother than Jameson) and usually cheaper too. Made in the little village of Bushmills in Co Antrim (Northern Ireland). Yes, it is very smooth. I am currently working on a bottle of black label I got for Christmas. I really prefer t...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

I didn't intend to start an "international trade war" here! One of the great things about being Irish is that we have to import a lot of stuff (apart from maybe Guinness and whiskey!), so we tend to look at what represents value for money regardless of international politics, other than complying w...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Made in any other country, means U.S. Dollars are being sent to countries that are as best, our friends, at worst our enemies. That makes their economies strong and ours weak. It also makes us unable to handle our own needs to respond to our needs, because we no longer make the products in the U.S....

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Would be interesting to see how much of a Resmed is made in China. I have no idea, but it's a fair bet that, like nearly every other Western designed and branded product, a lot, if not all of the manufacture is out-sourced to China.

Re: Flow Limitations - Min Pressure Too Low?

got right up there for about ten minutes, waking me, after responding aggressively So you're discounting the *fact* that breathing issues during your sleep disturb your sleep and wake you up. Have you actually zoomed in and looked at how long it takes for that pressure to increase? No and yes respe...
