Re: sinus Congestion Issues

TL;DR a form of migraine can cause swelling and muscle tension in the sinus/ear area and muscles of the throat--generally one-sided--that makes CPAP therapy challenging. As Pugsy said, your congestion might be unrelated to CPAP. I struggled with sinus congestion on CPAP and it was torment. As a new ...

Re: OSCAR-can user add missing entries?

I expected it to add summary data but it didn't. I've checked the data on subsequent uploads and nothing has been recorded for one particular day. The other couple of days DID get backfilled with the summary data. It's as if I deleted that day....

OSCAR-can user add missing entries?

I have a couple of nights where I forgot to put my data card back--and one night where the data just didn't record. Can a user enter summary data for those missing nights?

Re: Philips Dreamstation 2 am I crazy?

Do you have acid reflux? Several times on CPAP I woke up choking on a sudden burst of acid that came up really high in my throat. I have 'silent reflux' and didn't realize it. The acid could potentially read your back sinuses. I can't explain the plastic smell though.

Re: Final Thoughts from Billy

Something to consider--I just read Brain Energy by Christopher Palmer MD. He is a psychiatrist and in this book discusses the idea that mitochondrial dysfunction is the root of many conditions that have symptoms that overlap in the psych world. If you're interested in how mitochondria control inflam...

Curious which DME it is?

My Sleep Clinic moved my script to Lincare. Yes, they said it would come with an SD card but I only got the fancy cover as mentioned above.

SDHC card

I just received a new Resmed Airsense 11. It was *supposed* to come with an SD card. All I have on hand are micro SDHC 32GB--will those work?

Re: Pillow Wedge

I don't know the height of my wedge, but I fell in love with the Medcline pillow system. It's a wedge plus body pillow. They sell them in sizes based on your height. The 'shoulder relief' wedge is lower than the one sold for 'reflux relief'. There's a cutout in the wedge for the downside arm. Pretty...

Sloth, do you actually feel more rested now that you're using the ResMed instead of the Dreamstation?

@jereshoph--I've been amazed reading what the experienced & knowledgeable people on this forum have been able to help others achieve in obtaining successful CPAP therapy thru analyzing the CPAP data, adjusting settings and adding cervical collars, mouth tape & more. What you're bringing up might jus...

Re: Dizziness and low pulse ox since Covid when using CPAP

Post-COVID symptoms can include lingering inflammation in the lungs. Is it plausible that the small airways might be narrowed by inflammation and exhaling CO2 is less successful against the CPAP pressure? (Similar to having a more severe case of asthma and trying to use CPAP when BiPAP is needed). I...

Re: Lowering AHI numbers with beetroot capsules

I know this sounds crazy. But I have had great AHI numbers for the past 3 weeks because I started taking beet root capsules before bed. I've had a similar experience using L-Arginine (often combined with L-Cysteine). L-Arginine is converted to nitric oxide when taken on an empty stomach. It is a ge...

@A KLERK Can anyone trace a copy? I found a site that offers a download of "Care Orchestrator Essence" (see link) but I have NO idea if the site is safe. I don't have a machine I can test this on safely--please use caution if you pursue the download. https://care-orchestrator-essence.software.inform...
