Re: Large and medium pillows difference

Hello all, been a CPAP user since 2021. I started on nasal pillows medium and a few months ago I switched to large. Ever since my events per hour have gone up. I have an anxiety disorder which comes and goes randomly. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed an issue. On a resimed device with humi...

Re: Knightsbridge Owners.....

I put my Knightsbridge on over the headgear because it does not work under. I could not get a good fit on my mask with the Knightsbridge under the headgear. It may depend on your headgear. I use an N30 right now. The lady at the DME, who also uses CPAP, said she liked the headgear to be in direct c...

Re: CANNOT get used to nasal pillow

Thanks. Great idea. At this point, I will try almost ANYTHING! A mojito would def put me to sleep but I'm sober so that's not an option! Be careful what book you choose! The narrator matters, too. Some are dreadful. I like any Agatha Christie book narrated by Hugh Fraser. BTW, I know an...

Re: I can't figure out how to disconnect my tubing from my hose connector

I'm not sure I understand everything about the headgear pieces, but I think you're saying the short, flexible tube of your N30 and the hose coming from the machine are very tightly connected? I use an airsense 11, so I'm not sure if this applies to your machine, but I do use an N30. I was also afrai...

Re: CANNOT get used to nasal pillow

I'm sorry this is so hard for you. It was exactly the same for me. Instead of getting more and more used to it, my brain got more and more mad about the thing on my face. I had my machine taken away twice by insurance before I figured out how to desensitize. When the usual desensitizing techniques (...

Re: making adjustments

For some reason, I thought you were using the N20. Here is a bunch of N30 mask fit videos, I hope some will help. https://resmed.gallery.video/hcp-video-library/detail/videos/mask-how-to-videos---airfit-n30/video/6086909294001/resmed-airfit-n30:-how-to-fit-your-slip-on-nasal-cpap-mask Thank you!

Re: making adjustments

When I get up to go to the bathroom, sometimes it takes a long time to get it right on my face again. I think it's OK and then it's not. This can go on for quite awhile. That's what bothers me. Don't take the mask off when you go to the bathroom. Use the tube's elbow quick disconnect to leave the h...

Re: making adjustments

Side note and a heads up. That steroid injection can also mess with your sleep (if/when you finally get to sleep) in some way or other for days and days. But wanted to just warn you....steroids can do some weird crap. If those leaks aren't causing you to wake up and you don't seem to spend much tim...

Re: S11 vs S10

I had the 10 briefly and now have the 11. I did not notice any difference in sound. I like the touch screen on the 11 much better. I thought the knob was confusing. I've had no problems with the 11 so far. Knocking wood! I didn't actually choose the 11. My doctor sent the script in and the DME sent ...

Re: making adjustments

So, if I do not notice a leak, then I guess it doesn't count. I won't be looking at my OSCAR for a bit. I had a steroid injection in my knee and am sitting here wide awake holding an ice pack on my face. Nobody warned me that facial flushing and insomnia were side effects of knee injections. Like th...

Re: making adjustments

Are the leaks interfering with my therapy? My machine always says, "Your mask fit was great last night." So maybe it thinks a few leaks are normal? ResMed machines will show Mr Smiley for leak management until time in large leak territory amounts to 30% or more of the night. So yes...the machine th...

Re: making adjustments

Are the leaks enough to be concerned about? You said they are. ----------------> I had a lot of trouble last night with the mask leaking. I took it and my chin strap off and put them back on a couple of times in the night in sort of a brain fog. Judge your sleep in the late evening. Were you energe...

Re: making adjustments

Are the leaks enough to be concerned about? I have tried the size small mask. It looks to fit better but it feels tight on the right side of my face where my pinched nerve is.
