I have an out-of-warranty Airmini that has stopped working -- it's issuing a long-short blink code on the green power LED, and it appears to be rebooting itself. If you're considering this, be advised that a 20W power bank is insufficient.

After searching for ages for someone to ship a cable to me in Canada, I found this Australian vendor. Their web store doesn't have international shipping, but if you contact them directly, they are happy to accommodate. There are only 2 physical wires inside of the proprietary cable. I've made the franken-cable above and it worked well for me on a 2-week backpacking trip and a 1-week tent summer camp. Maybe they are sending data over one of those cables, not sure but there is nothing else in there. Righteous, than...

The Airsense has a 3rd wire for "Sense" -- indication that the appropriate power supply is hooked up and healthy.
