Re: Sleep studies negative but having chronic fatigue

Vitamins B and D are things to check. B12 shots are often given to people experiencing fatigue. But I'm just spitballing here. Good luck finding an answer.

May time and healing pass quickly. Your procedure sounds quite nasty. Sending healing vibes in your direction. We all got something like this going on now and again.

Shut off ramp.
I say to doctor, 'it hurts when I do this' (lifts arm).

Doctor says, 'don't do that.'

Re: Cat proofing CPAP hose

Vet wrap? Four or five turns should be pretty sturdy. I use this to wrap a parrot ladder so he doesn't tear it to shreds.

Re: Nasal cushions and chin straps

I understand what inoland is saying about closed jaw. Don’t know how else to describe it. Chin strap closes the jaw and it feels a bit unnatural to not open it for hours. I went back to the full faced Dreamwear last night and woke up once gasping for air. I don’t know why. My OSCAR stats show an AHI...

Re: Nasal cushions and chin straps

The chinstrap is really lightweight. It definitely feels less bulk to me. Maybe a bit more bother since there are two things to adjust rather than one. But....I don't remember reading anything about people having issues keeping their jaw shut all night. I suppose it's the same with tape. But I didn'...

Nasal cushions and chin straps

My current mask is a Dreamwear full faced/hybrid mask which in general I like. But in an effort to cut bulk even more I ordered the Dreamwear nasal cushion and a Resmed chin strap. Things seem to fit well and I achieved a good seal And I read that it is a good idea to use a chin strap to keep the mo...

Interpreting Sleep Study Results

I just picked up my home sleep study results that was performed July 7. Some additional terms used here that I had not seen before.....pRDI (respiratory disturbance index). I had 100 events with an all night score of 18.0. Is not RDI a better determinate of sleep disturbance than AHI? And is it corr...

Re: airsense 11 clinical settings

.....except when the video is 37 seconds long. I like it. I haven't bought my 10 autoset yet so maybe this is the way to go. The problem with a 37 second long video is that it doesn't tell anybody what any of the other settings mean, or give any indication what, if anything, should be changed. The ...

Re: Fixed v variable pressure

I've only been using a machine for 10 days. Resmed 10 auto. I changed the minimum to 8 and left the max alone. It doesn't seem to get over 12 according to OSCAR. Anyway I don't feel my airway being much affected at 8 but more than that and I have less comfort getting asleep. So it seems like a narro...

  I was also wondering what a main B bus undervolt thing was. Have you been able to isolate the sound? I used to watch all the Apollo stuff. Stayed up till the early morning hours to watch live moon walks. That's how old I am. Bordering on cultural misfit. I'm glad we can all share apnea ...

Re: Airsense 10 ramp up question

Here are my results from last night after increasing minimum pressure to 8. I woke up at around 1:30 with problems exhaling (EPR set at 3). So I ticked down minimum pressure to 7 and then slept through to 5:30 am. No obstructive apneas but several central apneas. My AHI is pretty good though I feel ...
