Re: overheating humidifier
Hi everyone! I've woken up several nights in a row to my humidifier tank being empty. Clearly my heating element is malfunctioning. No, this is not clearly the reason. It *might* be the reason, but likely not. As me move into colder and a drier season, more moisture will be drawn from the tank. You...

Re: overheating humidifier
What are your pressures? What is your leak rate? What is the ambient humidity in your bedroom? Hi Pugsy: Leak rate has ranged from 17-50% the past few nights, with the same results on the water emptying middle of the night. I've used CPAP for 2 years and have never had this problem, even in the win...

Re: overheating humidifier
With the heat on in the house now, the heat dries the house out and the machine creates more humidity, using more water. Now I find the midway fill up line isn’t enough and I put it up to near max fill. You might try that first. You can also turn humidity down by increments rather than off to see i...

overheating humidifier
Hi everyone! I've woken up several nights in a row to my humidifier tank being empty. Clearly my heating element is malfunctioning. I've changed the hose a couple times and that didn't. I turned the humidifier off and just left water in the tank but that isn't providing enough humidification. Did an...

Re: general questions/therapy
Did anyone have migraines that improved when starting CPAP? If so, how long did it take for the migraines to improve? here's an eight year old article- CPAP Improves Migraine Burden in Patients With Sleep Apnea https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/806902 here's one that's undated (or at least, i di...

Re: general questions/therapy
Does anyone feel like mask liners affect and/or reduce air flow? When I use the Silent Night liners on a FFM, the airflow feels different to me. "feeling" doesn't come into play. Mask liners *cannot* change the airflow, they don't get in between the mask and your nose, unless you're using them very...

Re: general questions/therapy
does it have a noticeable effect on your ahi? i don't use a mask liner. however, i do notice an air flow difference in my nasal mask if i just happen to have it positioned "wrong". doesn't effect my ahi, so i don't fret about it. [/quote] This is a new FFM that I've only used 1 night (without a lin...

I have a FlexiFix 432 FFM (medium) that I'm getting rid of. It's free, except for the shipping cost. It is new, however, I did try it on for sizing. I'm getting rid of it because it's too big for me.

Re: general questions/therapy
Hi everyone! I did a one night experiment. Despite aerophagia, I bumped EPAP to 7 with EPR of 3 ---CPAP mode. Though not perfect, flow limitations improved significantly with EPR of 3. Flow rate graph still looks abnormal to me. Questions: 1. Flat line/dips at top of inspiration curve: What are thes...

Last night I used my Wellvue Ring for night time oxygen monitoring. My stats from last night are as follows: Highest sp02 98% average spo2 94% lowest sp02 86% <90% time: 1 minute, 28 seconds (the amount of time sp02 was below 90%) Are these oxygen saturation statistics considered to be within normal...
