Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

I switched to a Breas Vivo 3. It seems to not be a well-known machine at all because it is a full hospital ventilator with numerous different modes. I completed only about four hours of sleep so far but I am feeling a lot better. I still need to master the different menus, etc.

Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

Success! I ordered a screwdriver bit set with a large number of Torx and other bits. Fortunately, it also came with a screw handle that had a thin, extendable, telescope-style shaft activated by a spring, so I had a long enough handle on it to get into where the four screws were. These were T15 styl...

Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

What an absolute nightmare to disassemble this and get the foam out. There are multiple very deeply positioned torx screws rooted almost all the way through the machine and this YouTuber ended up sawing the thing in half right through the plastic to get at the inside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

New pressure at 18 / 18.5. Notice this black powdery residue near the humidifier and also where the humidified exits the machine. It has go to be that foam stuff like with the Philips machines. I have ordered a thin screwdriver set to get at the screws and disassemble the machine so I can pull the f...

Re: Swallowing Saliva with CPAP Plugs My Ears

I have to do the same thing as you OP, but that's during maybe the first 5-10 minutes of being on the machine. Afterward I can swallow with no problem.

Re: Had an event with zero events. Weird

I recently have had nights with zero or near-zero events. Max at 20, minimum 18.5. I felt awful. Groggy, "yucky", inflamed, bloated, light-headed, you name it. On a lark this morning, well after I got the day started, I laid awake for maybe a half hour on my machine with max pressure to about 20 and...

Re: DeVilbiss IntelliPAP (DV57) SmartLink codes suddenly not working

I have only used my Intellipap Autoadjust on vacation, but even then, the codes do fail on occasion. I think it's the nature of the beast. Otherwise, I consider mine a fairly decent machine. I agree. It works well and I get good sleep so that is what matters. But I'm also concerned about having no ...

DeVilbiss IntelliPAP (DV57) SmartLink codes suddenly not working

Is anyone else having this problem? As of this morning, every time I enter my 1-Day code into the SmartLink app, it says there is an error. It started this morning. I checked the code was correct.

Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

Now at 13.5 / 19. I think the pressure support is still just 5. I had less waking inertia (where you just want to lay in bed after waking up) than I have had in a long time.

90 and 95 percent pressures are at 18.7 so it's like my brain is still saying "Ok great, now even more air plz".

Re: Does SA cause Anxiety issues?

I had very bad anxiety, light headedness, and equilibrium problems with untreated OSA. Even with treatment it continued, but I did better once I mouth taped and adjusted my pressure, as I was still losing a lot of air to mouth leak. My symptoms are almost zero now with proper treatment.

Re: Starting BiPAP treatment

Been feeling kind of tired and hypoxic lately despite good AHI. Followed Nick (from YouTube) and decided to turn up my pressure a lot. Trying minimum 13.5 and maximum 18. Feeling better in the morning.

Re: Gave up coffee...wow!

I switched to morning hot cocoa. It helps with a bit of a pick me up in the morning but not enough for me to have anxiety or stomach problems and by evening I am tired again.

Re: My experience with mouth taping and related solutions, and further advice

Did you try the tape LankyLefty from YT recommends? https://a.co/d/fJHd7WL I find it works best to make sure your lips are together when putting it over your face, to put enough of it to thoroughly cover the mouth AND most of the cheeks on either side, and to make sure you press it deeply into the ...
