Re: Oxygen making me more tired

@ Architect - Could this be a case of coincidence vs causation? Just because 2 things happen at the same time does not necessarily mean that one caused the other. The experts are data driven and can only offer meaningful advice if they have data to review. Install OSCAR and record your data, then p...

Re: Oxygen making me more tired

Hard to come to any conclusions after two nights of bleeding in oxygen. Do you have a pulse oximeter that can record? I would see what your oxygen levels are doing throughout a night of sleep with the O2 added. Either way, if you make a change that drastically changes your sleep patterns, I would e...

Re: Oxygen making me more tired

No experience with O2, but when I finally started getting good sleep with CPAP I seemed to be more tired all the time. I think I was craving that good sleep, and it took a while to not feel that way anymore. Some people might describe this as "Paying the sleep debt" but I'm not sure I believe in th...

Architect - have you looked at Oscar since starting the 02? Thanks Julie. Looking at it now, prior to 02 no event flags occasional 1 or 2. Since beginning 02 I developed hypopnea. Oxygen making me more tired

I began 2L oxygen 2 nights ago, great news is I've slept both nights more then 8 hours with no awakenings. Prior to that, if I slept more then 6 hrs, less then 3 awakenings, it be a miracle. Oxygen therapy is working, but oddly I feel more tired. Haven't slept this deeply approx a year. Anyone on ox...

Re: Respironics Oxygen Unit - Just sharing

My oxygen unit was delivered today, I only need 2L but was sent 10L, cause medical store didn't have smaller units. I said you should have brought a portable. States when smaller unit comes in, they'll swap out. Got the Resperonics M10,. That unit is loud, sounds like a Saturn rocket on take off......

Re: Fitbit works - Oxygen Sat

another sleep study at hospital, to figure out why? my 02 sat dropping below normal, only during sleep, You need to look at OSCAR for the times when the O2 saturation is low. Are there breathing events during these times? Or is breathing normal? Hi friend, I did look at Oscar, those day's I was oxi...

remembering a lot of dreams does indicate that your sleep isn't great.
Sorry, have to disagree. When I don't dream, sleep quality was poor. When I have dreams, I remember them, specially super long/detailed ones. Depending upon dream, some I can remember quite a long time...

Even if advice is based on personal experience, it's usually best to suggest a doctor's visit.
I agree, consult with doctor, I get headaches for all types of reasons.

Re: Fitbit works - Oxygen Sat

I suppose you are referring to the Fitbit EOV (estimated oxygen variation) graphic. If so, we’re you able to find out what the scale of the y-axis is? It’s not clear to me what the distinction is between “high” and “low” variation is. Is it 2%, 3%. 4% or what? Sorry friend, don't know what your ask...

Re: Fitbit works - Oxygen Sat

Have you been checked for asthma? My O2 sats were staying around 90% even though I'm already on cpap. I was put on 24 hour O2. After several tests I was diagnosed with asthma and with inhalers the asthma is under control. I'm still using O2 with my cpap at night but I haven't needed it during the d...

Fitbit works - Oxygen Sat

Many nights fitbit showed high 02 spikes. Sent phone images to sleep clinic. I had a home oximetry test, clinic called today state, my 02 sat dropped below normal, 2 nights out of 3. First night 14 minutes, 2nd night 20 minutes, 3rd night normal. So, clinic ordered oxygen tank for bipap and another ...
