Re: Can't stop air escaping from my mouth
Try this. Use a Leader alcohol swab and clean the oils from the skin around your mouth. Tear off a 6 to 8” piece of transpore tape and place over mouth. Tear off a 4” piece of 3M durapore tape and place over the transpore tape. I have been doing this for about 20 years and it works better than anyth...

Re: Are Dreamwear Gel Pillows Discontinued?? Supplier started sending Silicone Pillows instead
The old part number, 1125046 for size medium, continues to be available on Amazon and eBay, often at less than the Medicare reimbursement price. I have purchased 35 pillows from these two sources. My most recent purchase was 14 pillows for $125. The question remains, how often should I change pillows?

Adapter - Connect Respironics cable w/DB9 plug to PC
I have Respironics 920M Plus pulse oximeter and a Respironics 1053371 download cable. The download cable termination plug is a DB9 female. I need an adaptor to connect the DB9 female to my PC. My choices on the PC are USB ports and a port labeled {(unknown symbol)/DVI} - a DVI-A-F port, I think. Nee...

Speaking of deviated septums. There is a town in Kansas where a great many adult folks have had to travel to a nearby city to have their deviated septums repaired. The common thread that joins these folks is that they all had tonsil and adenoid removals done by a local doc. The story I heard from on...

Dentist's Claims re: Sleep Apnea, Snoring & Migranes
I met a dentist who claims that many cases of sleep apnea and migrane headache are caused by improper bite. He claims to have cured many folks with sleep apnea, snoring and migranes by adjusting their bites. I am looking for information and opinions on this. Comments?

Lincare Beware
Yesterday I received an interesting statement from Lincare. The first line said " Customer beginning balance" of ($ 76.06). The second line read "01/31/07 Deductible" of $ 122.82. The "Pay Amount Now Due" reads $ 46.76, the difference of the two numbers. There is no billing to my insurance carrier t...

Itchy Scalp
I have been on CPAP since last July. I use a CL2 nasal interface device. I am completely satisfied with my therapy and results. I am not having any problems from a therapy/health standpoint. No problems till recently, that is. About a week ago my scalp started itching during the day. The itch is und...

If my pulminologist sleep doc is any example, this category of sleep doc is woefully inadequate in examination and analysis of the airway and possible anomalies of same. Mine never even looked up my nose or down my throat. In fact, he never even touched me. My vote would be for finding a good ENT do...
