Re: Mask Help
Thanks for the thoughts. I have tried some lotions. The one I have is an aloe based cream that I find makes all of the nasal pillows fit and feel a bit better. That said the problem I am having with the large is that the silicone is folding over as unless I am extremely careful it catches on my nose...

Mask Help
I had a septoplasty and am able to use a nasal mask as opposed to a full face :) Very happy overall. One of the masks that is overall working best for me is the Resmed P10 nasal pillow mask. I have had it for a week and I love the very little stuff on my face. However, I have a bit of a pillow sizin...

Post septoplasty changes
I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction ~5 weeks ago. All in all it was a good outcome. I am breathing better than before and overall feel great. Per the logs on my CPAP I am seeing what I think I would expect. Specifically that my flow limits seem less than before and my max pressure seems a bi...

Re: Regression in Treatment
I thought I would post a follow-up. Things are a bit better. However, not nearly as good as where they were. I have been trying different ramp settings. Mostly a short ramp, off or auto. Having less ramp does appear to help. Ramp all the way off and I do not get along well as for some reason the mac...

Re: Regression in Treatment
On meds I take very little. I have Zyrtec and Flonase for allergies and Hydroxyzine (as a help get me used to CPAP by sleep Dr). I have been taking all of these since Nov and have not had any changes. My plan when things were great in early March was to get off the Hydroxyzine (which is what the sle...

Re: Regression in Treatment
My weight has actually been down a few pounds the last month. This is mostly me returning to normal after gaining a few holiday pounds and getting a bit better about my meal schedule. Allergy season is definitely here. One thing I do not really understand is what the flow limits are and how those co...

Re: Regression in Treatment
Thanks for the thoughts. I have used the same pillow through this and have been sleeping on my back since Jan so no changes there. One note is that I cannot sleep on my side. I have a neck injury and the main reason I am on CPAP is to allow back sleep to resolve the neck issues. While I know sleepin...

Regression in Treatment
I started CPAP in late Nov. It was OK. Towards the end of Jan my provider made some adjustments based on a really in depth discussion with him that this forum really helped me with. Things were going very well. In fact in March I was to the point where I would on a bad night see an AHI of 2 and many...

Re: I keep taking CPAP mask off during sleep
I am 4 months into this CPAP journey. However, I went through this. First, my doctor did prescribe me a very mild sleeping pill hydroxyzine to help me for the first few months. I no longer use this, but starting out I do feel it helped. The other things that really helped me were 1) Watching TV with...

Re: Is there a mask that doesn't irritate sensitive skin?
I am fairly new to this. However, I have sensitive skin and was having some irritation that I now have under control. Here is my routine at night which has really helped me 1) Shave 2) Clean face with a gentile cleanser 3) Apply a mild moisturizer I do this about 30 minutes before I get into bed to ...

Re: Dreamwear full face mask - sounds and leaks
I am relatively new to CPAP so take what I say with that in mind. However, I recently moved to this mask. It is louder to me. I think it is from the tube coming down the side of the head as my wife thinks it is a quieter than the resmed F30 which I was previously using. As to the leaks I still have ...

Dry Eyes and Mask Options
First I wanted to share that thanks to help on other threads I now have my AHI down (<3 and trending down) and I am starting to sleep better. I also had a great conversation on data with the doctor who made some adjustments to settings and they appear to be helping. I suffer from dry eyes at night. ...

Re: Eye seal mask
If you have the F20 depending on your face you may not be able to get an eye mask to seal. For me the top of the mask got in the way. I switched to the F30 for that reason. That said I have found the F30 a bit harder to fit leak free.

Re: Eye seal mask
I have used them for a while, before getting CPAP for dry eye. I have found the eye seal masks to seal the best. However, the cost is high and I have had a few durability issues with the quartz model. The one with the memory foam is my favorite and what I keep coming back to. Note in my years of fig...
