Re: DreamStation2

Been using the DS2 for about a week. DS1 prior since about March 2020. The DS2 pulled in the settings of the DS1 when I powered it on. The DS2 seems quieter than the DS1. The DS1 when I turned it on initially at night tended to 'blow out' the full face mask sides and then would settle back. The DS2 ...

Re: Phillips Device Replacement

The more I learn about the DS 2, the less I'm inclined to accept it. The memory card is apparently a pain to access, and, it does not work with Oscar. Why would I ever accept a machine that would not let me analyze my nightly therapy/progress so I can continually optimize my results? . I received t...

Re: Philips Dreamstation 2 need help (asap)

From the DreamStation 2 Provider FAQ....

https://www.apria.com/wp-content/upload ... _03-21.pdf

Pretty much crippled the machine for necessary and useful user settings.

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?

Anyone have fond memories of getting vaxxed in this way? Occasionally would get you from both sides at the same time. Don't flinch!!

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?

I was wondering the same about the Moderna booster as what I've read only the Pfizer booster had been authorized for use in the US. Moderna and the Johnson&Johnson were still under review per the this article as of 10/8/21. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/coronavirus/moderna-jj-pfizer-5-things-to-kn...

Re: Did you get your flu vaccine?

Wife and I got the High Dose Flu vax about a week ago. My arm was sore a bit for a day or so, my wife had a slightly elevated temperature. About the same as last year. I'm holding off on the Pfizer booster shot until I speak with my PCP about a possible reaction I had to the first two.

Re: Resmed 10 and SoClean Issue! See Pic!

If the SoClean can break down the foam in a Resmed, so to can the ozone that exists in the air around us c There is *exceedingly* little ozone in the air around us. it very rapidly reacts and breaks down. nothing compared to using an ozone generator on a cpap. Don't be stupid. Didn't read the link ...

Re: Resmed 10 and SoClean Issue! See Pic!

If the SoClean can break down the foam in a Resmed, so to can the ozone that exists in the air around us cause degradation of the foam, just at a less accelerated rate than what the SoClean is capable of. Larger cities may be more prone to having higher concentrations of ozone due to the pollutants ...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

That is a bold faced lie. Medicare has no "replacement schedule", Medicare has a minimum replacement frequency, meaning "we won't pay for x any more often than y', greedy DMEs have seized on this and schemed that if they tell people to throw things away as soon as Medicare (and most insurances foll...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Just a small part of the bigger picture, but it will be interesting who will bear the responsibility and cost for recycling/disposal of many CPAP's that will get replaced. My own preference if I don't switch over to a Resmed would be to have the blower housing replaced in my DS1 rather than to repla...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Don't care that the DS2 doesn't have data available as I seldom have the need to use OSCAR with my DS1. The real non-starter for me with the DS2 is the design with the hose that comes out front, the access to the pull off water tank in the rear, and info screen on top. All this would make it difficu...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

My DME notified me with a card in the postal mail. Card was mostly a rehash of what's already known, but some of the wording on the card had undertones of, 'We'll be more than glad to sell you a replacement for the machine of death you currently have'. I suspect this recall is helping the profits fo...

Re: Has anyone here used Wellue Oximeters

Both my and I have the Wellue rings that we got in Dec 2019. When I got mine I was suspicious of having an apnea problem. The O2Ring was showing significant drops of SPO2 during sleep and I brought a couple nights of recorded data to my doc. He set up a sleep study based on the drops in the SPO2 lev...
