Re: Freedom Battery Issue for ResMed 11
FWIW..... I don't have a battery for my CPAP's (DreamStation 2 and an AS10). I do have a 'Portable Power Station' (lithium battery with a pure sine wave inverter) that I've used a couple times to power the CPAP when we had a power outage. It powers the CPAP overnight easily (not using the humidifier...

Re: Selling Like New Airsense 11
Hey I've been using CPAP for 10 years. I've had two My Airsense 10s and been compliant. The air blowing form AS 11 just felt wrong. Hard to describe. I woke up with good numbers, but still feeling tried. It also made a weird leaking noise from my mask that keeps my partner up. I was using the same ...

Re: Sleep Doc Office Can't read SD card ????
Wonder if the sleep doc's office is just being cautious about malware/viruses that possibly could be on an SD card that someone would bring in, particularly if the doc's office is networked into the hospitals system. Doc's office would likely use their own SD card that they know is clean to extract ...

Are there any countries where a CPAP and associated supplies are presently offered as OTC?

Re: Cpap tubing
If it were me I'd contact the DME and tell them to send the slim tubing you are accustomed to using and what they supplied previously. I know I sleep better with a slimmer tube than the larger one.
If you do use the larger hose you should use the setting in the Resmed machine for Standard.

Re: Mysterious banning for spam has hit again...
If one does get banned here, how can you get unbanned? I got mistakenly banned once a while back in a different forum and fortunately I knew one of the members outside the group that I was able to contact and have him contact the forum mod to un-ban me.I don't know anyone here that I could contact o...

DIY Chin Strap... Laugh, Make Jokes if You So Wish
I had been using cheapo chin straps from Amazon that worked OK , but were not particularly comfortable and its Velcro tabs occasionally would get stuck to Velcro on the mask headgear which was a nuisance. I had a pair of Hanes shorts that had failed where the cotton fabric had separated from the ela...

Re: Cant download dreamstation anymore
Recently updated the DreamMapper app to 3.0.1.306 on an Android 10 phone. Works fine to grab the data via the internet connection and has up to date data for the times I looked at it. I don't bother with the Bluetooth connection as that's been pretty iffy in the past whether it would connect or not....

Re: RAINOUT AFFECTING MY LUNGS- HELP PLEASE
"5. Turned off CPAP humidity with no water" There is a condition called over active salivary glands (hypersalivation) which can cause too much saliva in your mouth. I'm wondering if this condition may be mistaken for 'rainout' from the CPAP, particularly when you have the CPAP humidity turned off a...

Re: AirSense 11 Turns Itself On
If you haven't done so already, try unplugging the unit and let it set unpowered for about 30 minutes and then plug it back in. If something in its operating system got corrupted by a power surge or momentary loss of power, possibly a 'reboot' might correct things. Make sure all the power connection...

Re: Air surging in tubing during Dreamstation 2 therapy
If you simply let it set for the day dry out, it's possible there still may be some moisture within the unit that is present. I'm guessing there is some kind of air pressure/flow sensor somewhere in the air path in the machine that got wet and doesn't respond properly to your breathing. As long as t...

Re: Odd Airsense 11 Problem and Medicare question
Any chance the water tubs are running dry by the morning which conceivably could overheat the metal plate and cause a crack to occur? You had mentioned only filling halfway and a few posts I've read on the AS11 seems to suggest it runs out of water quicker than the previous AS10. Dry ambient conditi...

Re: My current cpap (Medicare) supplier) is ignoring me
Does your supplier have an online ordering system for supplies? My DME calls me when I'm eligible for replacement supplies, but I generally ignore the calls and just let them leave a voice message, as it's much easier to use their online ordering to order just the items I need rather than trying to ...
