Re: large leaks -- when to worry

Your machine measures the leaks in percentages, No, it doesn't. It measures leak in liters per minute, which is what it says on the chart. above 30% the leaks are bad and a sad or red face appears on the display. No, if the machine is in large leak territory (more than 24lpm) for over 30% of the ni...

Re: on CPAP for 5months, still wake up exhausted ???

As they tell you, you may not be reaching deep sleep for long periods of time. In my case, it took me a year and a half to be sure that I was used to it and felt comfortable sleeping with a mask over my nose and face. Re: Mouth breather in trouble

Hi again - what mask are you using? There is so much choice (see Cpap.com for that) and you could well do much better leakwise with others. Have you tried pressure settings of e.g. 6 or 7 min. and 15=20 max (far more typical)? Unfortunately doctors may know the science behind apnea, but are too oft...

Re: Mouth breather in trouble

Hi thank you everyone for taking the time to read and reply. 1.- Julie: Hi, my otolaryngologist assumes that my throat is partially blocked due its form and my age, so sadly it seems I will never aspire to have an AHI below 5 on a regular basis. Mouth breather in trouble

Dear friends: Talking to my doctor he tells me that I need a turbinate and deviated septum reduction operation. I think my septum was a little deviated because I literally have slept on my stomach with my nose stick on the pillow all my life. I asked my otolaryngologist if these operations would hel...

Re: How to reverse dark circles and eye bags?

Dear folks thanks for your replies. Last month, I have been searching in this forum about cases involving dark circles and eye bags -in not very old people starting the treatment-, but didn't find much. I don't look good this way, this is a ugly side effect. I have read that some swelling on your ch...

Hello friends of this forum, don’t forget to extreme cautions with this virus. I’m a male on my mid fourties with wide neck and generally good healthy habits.
