Re: Non-mouth breather suddenly has dry mouth with new APAP

Whatever is causing the dry mouth Xylimelts work pretty well at preventing the dryness. Here's a link to them so you can read about them: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TSFS3XX?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-ypp-rep_ypp_rep_k0_1_5&=undefined&crid=22D14K3WBUWLA&sprefix=xylim&th=1 Best of luck at finding a good s...

Re: ResMed F20 F30 F30i help

I ended up not needing a full face mask, but I started out with one. I liked the F30i. I liked the top-of-head attachment and found it comfortable to sleep in. If you get the F30i, consider getting the smaller frame. It sat further forward on my head than they say it should, as I have a big head, bu...

Re: Confused about the recall

Philips Respironics does not make Resmed machines. Resmed is its own company and is not part of the recall. Maybe your old machines were Philips.

...its almost like I need a normal pillow chopped in half. Snoozey, I have two pillows that are 14 inches by 21 inches, so much smaller than normal size. I prefer to distill my own water.
According to the Kill-a-Watt, it only uses 12 cents worth of electricity per gallon.
Compared to store DW prices, I figure the machine amortizes fairly quickly.

What kind of machine do you use to distill water?

Re: have tried so many masks

Have you considered the Bleep system? It involves no straps and no actual mask, and I think it would fit literally any face shape. I use it and love it. It's a tad tricky to learn to use, but so worth the effort.

Re: daily tub cleaning?

My tank has never gotten dirty, only crusted with hard water deposits because I use tap water. I put some citric acid powder in the tank with warm water, leave it for a while, then dump and rinse. It is perfectly clear and clean then. I'm still using the same tank that came with my machine over 1-1/...

Lots of people complain about the velcro on the headgear for this mask. You can sew or stick new velcro on or you can order new headgear from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Headgear-AirFit-F30i-Full-Face/dp/B08MT3K7KY/ref=sr_1_4?crid=H70V6F6W9OWE&dchild=1&keywords=resmed+f30i+frame&qid=1632848151&sp...

Re: OT: Freaky Froggy--cancer, part 2

Froggy, your attitude is really good. Pre-planning to make your chemo sessions more relaxing is an excellent idea! It's so important to keep your spirits up during cancer treatments. As I laid under the radiation machinery I would always think to myself "That's another bunch of cancer cells killed. ...

You probably already know this, but just in case you don't know, the Philips Dreamstation machines are being recalled due to health problems with the foam inside. There is a lot to read about it on this forum.

Re: Want to buy a Pur-Sleep pillow - hard to find!

Buckwheat hulls are for sure still used in pillows. I have an all-buckwheat pillow. Maybe Pur-Sleep is just not making that same pillow type anymore.

Actually, I just checked and Pur-Sleep still lists your same pillow on their website for $59.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Just wanted to add that I also received a new DreamStation 2 today as a recall replacement for my 6 month old DreamStation. I was SHOCKED, esp since I saw my pulmonologist last week and he said he was hearing 2 months to get a CPAP for newly prescribed patients. I was expecting maybe early 2022 bas...
