Re: Why the hell would I use a humidifier.

let it go and accept the apology Is an apology still due for lying about education and being a MD? That's assuming facts not in evidence. Personal opinion and YMMV stuff. Hey....I look at it this way...he got started off on a bad note and instead of getting uppity about it and doing more stone thro...

Re: Cognitive function impairment from sleep apnea will i last forever? Will it fully recovered ?

I am only 26 years old, I have been snoring my entire life, but in the recent 2 years I found myself wake up at night with rapid heart beat and gasping for air, and last year, I got diagnose with moderate- severe sleep apnea, mixed sleep apnea, probably due to my weight aswell. But recently I feel ...

Re: Loud hissing noise when sleeping

I have a resmed airsense 10 autoset with a airfit P10 nasal pillow and a chin strap. When I put it on, it seems to fit just fine, but when I sleep, at some point it makes a loud hissing noise that keeps my wife awake. She made an audio recording and it sounds like the mask is leaking really bad. I'...

Re: Travel CPAP suggestions (Not Z1, Mini or Transcend)

I recently purchased the new Transcend365 and I'm pretty happy with it. I love what they have done with the humidifier and I don't think it is too loud. I purchased it as a backup and for occasional travel. As of yet I have only used it for napping but I was pretty impressed with it.

Re: Need Help Interpreting Sp02

And was that with blue (as you described), pink (as in your avatar), or clear nail polish? I see nothing panic-worthy in your spO2. But I do see a 4 cm minimum set on your APAP, which may be a low starting point unless you happen to be one of the few for which a 4 cm min is perfectly comforta...

I was sleeping on my back and perhaps the
cat was sleeping on my lap (I love that).
Lol, sometimes my Chihuahua sleeps on my chest and I love that too. I think I actually sleep better when he does that.

Re: Need Help Interpreting Sp02

Ok, so here is the data from the Contec software and the graph from OSCAR. Notice I got the graph cleaned up with the help of Bluedragon. The problem was my high resolution screen.

Re: OSCAR Suggestions & Bug reporting

Hi Blue Dragon, I am running a Lenovo Yoga with Windows 10 with display resolution of 3840X2160. I checked the fonts and all of them but one were set to MS Shell Dig 2. I set that one to the same without resolution of the problem. There are some problems with high resolution monitors like yours. He...

Re: OSCAR Suggestions & Bug reporting

Hi there! I'm new and have been having issues with OSCAR. The first time I opened it the rows were all compressed and I couldn't read. I got that figured out with the help of Pugsy but I still have the issue of the side columns being compressed so that I cannot read the values. I have gone into eve...

Oxygenation happens at the epap pressure, for most of your night, that's 4, 8d bump your min pressure to 8, or 9, and see what that does.
Thanks, I will try bumping up (in the clinical menu?). Maybe a little bit at a time.

Re: Need Help Interpreting Sp02

. . . should I be concerned by the 192 desaturations? Depends on what you define as a "desaturation," and it looks like your threshold is set up to flag anything below 96%--useful, perhaps, for establishing an OSA diagnosis , but maybe not so useful for evaluating overall O2 saturation, especially ...

Re: Need Help Interpreting Sp02

I would want to see the software report from the pulse ox itself and not so much OSCAR in this situation. I would want to see the SpO2 (or whatever it is called) software report. Some of those desats might well be loss of contact artifacts. There's more detail available on the real software reports...

I will take a look later today when I have my home computer available. Meanwhile, should I be concerned by the 192 desaturations?
