Re: Philips recall priority update
If you have not talked to a Phillips representative and answered a questionaire about the recall please do it. I just got off of the phone with one. I called out of frustration. She said that the recall is scheduled by the end of the year but if you want priority you must contact them. They will not...

Re: problems Exhaling
When you did your sleep study did they test you for bipap? I can not use a cpap. I can not exhale. The bipap has a lower exhalation pressure setting. I exhale at 1/2 of my inhalation pressure. I felt like I was suffocating. It raised anxiety and panic. After they tried bipap I did better

As was suggested earlier an inline viral/bacterial filter wouldn't hurt. They just simply fit where your hose attaches to your machine. Unhook the hose attach the filter like the hose then reattach the hose.

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have had issues sleeping without bipap. I bought the bacterial filters. Should that help or am I still at risk if I started using my machine again?

Re: Type of sleep test needed to be prescribed a APAP machine versus CPAP?
I took a normal split study(2 night) sleep test at a hospital. I did horrible a AHI of 69. I was prescribed a bipap. It took my apneas down but not all of the way. The Dr then changed the prescription to a bipap st with noninvasive ventilation if I don't breath. I have a combination apnea. Both obst...

In cardiac rehab 1 thing is they checked edema every day. As a heart patient I retained fluids and put on 50 lbs. I have be...

Re: Anyone "forget" to breathe while awake?
You described the old me. I was always training as a youth. I was usually playing games in 1 sport and in the early conditioning of another. I could never get my heart rate up to what they wanted in physicals. Now after survivinga widdow maker and so many drugs everything has changed. I don't breath...

I have downloaded oscar. My #’s on Oscar the past few days has shown an AHI of 1.2 - 3.5. The only #’s I had to use were on the Dreammapper app. These are now showing around 7.3 -8.5. There is a huge difference.

I tried unhooking from the hose at the diffuser. I pulled the diffuser out and had issues. Day 2 went perfect.

I was extreme with a 69 start. I feel much better at around 15. It is slowly lowering. I think I will eventually get there.

Re: Bleep/DreamPort nasal mask review thread
Day 1 thoughts on bleep. Maybe too easy to breathe. Anxiety based on not having many of the issues I had previously. Woke up early to use the restroom lost the seal when I unhooked. I took off dreamports and used old mask for the last 1 1/2 hrs. It was almost too easy only issue was comfort with the...

Re: I had a sleep test done and the doctor got very angry
You may have sleep apnea and wake up briefly and never really realize it. Why? Because it is your normal. We often adjust to things that happen over times. It took 2 family members on pap therapy telling me mine was bad and a heart attack before I did anything. My test showed a 69. I thought I was ok.
