So you don't have central sleep apnea.
Appreciate the reply. Great to get an understanding of this. Thanks.

The medical consultant dealing with my treatment mentioned wanting a second sleep study because of the number of centrals but I was similarly unsure of why overall.

Re: Central Sleep Apnea Unlikely?

Can you post Oscar results as per info and layout requested, but skip the calendar and pie chart. You may need to do it on Imgur.com and leave a link in this thread as the forum's space has been full lately. Oh sorry, may bad. Been awhile and forgot the basics. OSCAR report is here: https://ibb.co/...

Central Sleep Apnea Unlikely?

Got a dx of moderate OSA back in early 2021. Posted about it here at the time with a query about central apnea: https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=181198&p=1374938#p1374938 My original sleep report is here: https://ibb.co/BcjNkCB Advice at the time was that it was unlikely I had central sl...

Thorough clean of ClimateLineAir heated tubing (AS10 version)

I bought the below brush recently but forgot that the ResMed Climate Line Air has an elbow bend / connection at one end. It stops the brush from being pulled through. I'm at a point of making a DIY brush with some strong string to pull through the hose to give it a good clean inside. My usual warm w...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

It doesn't matter whether you use the humidifier or not, (unless you've removed the humidifier chamber and are using the blanking plate), either of them, if not properly seated, will cause more noise. By "I don't use the humidifier" I meant that I use the blanking plate. The noises I experienced on...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

Sorry for not coming back to this until now. Had some really bad sleeps because of the machine issues that have knocked my APAP progress back quite badly so have been focusing on getting my sh1t together again. I ended up visiting ResMed with my wife and after testing multiple machines (that were al...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

I can't hear your machine but my machine doesn't make any noise with my breathing. The machine motor working is silent. Oh sorry - should I upload to an alternative site so it might be playable? Nothing can be heard except for sometimes I hear my own breathing...that Darth Vadar sound...and that is...

Re: Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

Mine makes no noise that can be heard in a quiet room by someone of above average (recently tested) hearing. The AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her model that I was using prior to the VAuto...silent as well. Thanks for the replies. So just to check that even when you breath in and out the machine makes no...

Getting really frustrated by noise issues: What does your ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet Sound Like

I previously posted about two noise issues but am creating a new thread as I wanted to focus just on what would be viewed as normal noise from a ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine. I began APAP in January and it has been life changing. However, I feel plagued by noise issues from these machines and ...

Re: Two Noise Issues - Mask/Breathing and Machine Noises

Saga continues... This might get confusing, but when I got the third machine I felt that the 'typical' noise from the machine (not a whine, just the whooshing that it makes naturally with each breath) was louder than the first machine while the first machine was working well. Called ResMed and they ...

Re: Two Noise Issues - Mask/Breathing and Machine Noises

Just to provide a follow-up for others in a similar situation. I got a brand new machine from ResMed. This one came fresh out of the box with a consistent humming noise that became louder on exhale. When I placed my hand on this machine there was a vibration coming from it when I exhaled - this vibr...

Re: Two Noise Issues - Mask/Breathing and Machine Noises

Thanks for all the replies, really appreciated! Raise your min. pressure to 6 or 7 for a few days and see how that works (it should certainly help) as 4 is the machine default low and most cannot breathe well at that setting. Will give this a try and see how it goes! The main tool for reducing FLs i...

Re: Problem switching from N20 nasal to F30 full mask

I'm only 2 months into using APAP so am absolutely no expert but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I have the same machine but have a F20 full face mask. I started on the F30i mask, so the same as the F30 just the tube connection comes from the top of your head rather than the front of your mouth. I ...

Two Noise Issues - Mask/Breathing and Machine Noises

Been using an AirFit F20 and ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for about 2 months. Overall the treatment has been peachy and has massively improved my day-time tiredness and fogginess. When I first got the machine it was virtually silent and my breathing also went from heavy deep breathing to silent. Howev...

Re: Just Diagnosed - Unsure About Recommended Treatment

I got my ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet (trying the non-for-her version initially) on Saturday and it's a lovely quite machine which is great not to disturb my wife's sleep! Been watching a lot of videos and I as I breathe through my mouth in my sleep I initially went with the ResMed F30i as it appeared...
